Gîte d'étape l'Escole — Hotel in Le Puy-en-Velay

We arrived at gite l'Escole on our first day on the Camino after two hours of walking in heavy rain. Mehdi happily let us in, earlier than usual and made sure to help us dry our shoes with newspapers. We slept in a private double room designed in a minimalist way with great respect for the history of the building (a school). The meals Fani cooked were very tasty. Everything was fresh and colorful. Un énorme coup de coeur pour le repas (entrée plat dessert) vraiment délicieux. Soupe épice indienneet coco succulente, la lasagne végétale (une attention pour moi qui m'a touchée sincèrement) cette lasagne extra,onctueuse,saine,réconfortante et pleine de saveurs pois chiche,champignon,épinard,cheddar,mozza.... et le dessert une merveille alors que je n'avais plus de place dans mon ventre, j'ai quand même mangé la moitié tellement c'était bon, une crème à la fleur d'oranger avec brisures de speculos. Mon meilleur repas de tout mon séjour. Merci Fanny pour nos dicussions, ton écoute, ta sincérité dans les yeux et ton ouverture d'esprit. The space was comfortable, the hosts were friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. This was our first Gite we stayed at along the Camino, and set the standard for all the others to follow.
