Camping Bel Air — Hotel in Les Sables-d'Olonne

Well, where do I even start. The reception staff, especially Estelle was rude and curt and unwilling to help in anyway. Our touring pitches were 20m from the central area which was an absolute nightmare. Music on until 1/2 am EVERY NIGHT. Gangs of youths screaming, running around, banging on caravans, fighting in toilets the list goes on and on. We complained daily for the first week, asked to be moved but were refused. After losing my temper we were told we could have a partial refund so we searched for a site to transfer to in the area but every where was fully booked so we had to stay. My toddler was terrified and didn't sleep for the duration of the holiday, we had also come away with our mum and dad who are in their 60s who were also intimidated and unwilling to venture out which caused us immense stress and totally ruined our holiday. I honestly can't stress enough that if you are English DO NOT GO HERE, the staff hate us!!!! The four worst pitches were the ones that the English were put on and it was a case of Iike it or lump it. There were bouncers on the entrance and it seemed like ppl from other campsites came in at night also. Think club 18-30s and you will have an accurate image of this hell hole. I got injured walking into the toilet one night at around 11pm as a gang of youths came bursting out fighting, badly injuring my ankle and ending up on crutches for the last 5 days of the holiday. The pitches are small and cramped and to be honest the four pitches the English were on should not even be pitches. I basically cried with frustration and tiredness for the whole 2 weeks and would never ever in a million years set foot on this site again. We even discussed selling our caravan it has ruined it that much for us. It may seem that o am being dramatic but I have not included the half of it. Yes the site has spent air of money doing it up and the bar/pool is beautiful but the environment and clientele of ppl staying here is questionable for a supposed...

Disliked: Con’s • Over 200 pitches, 8 Toilets • No hot water in one of the Sanitary blocks • No hand washing/hand soap in any of the Sanitary blocks (2) • On one day no toilet paper in 3 of the 8 toilets all day • One block no lighting in the day, toilets in darkness • Flooring in one of the blocks wet in the morning; to use the toilet you need to take your shorts off so they didn’t get wet. • Toilet floor in the swim area wet, you can’t wear anything on your feet, didn’t know what I was standing in? • Walk way in/out has wooden boarding on the side of the building, where the joins are metal strips stick out, this is from small child height upwards • 2 pitches next to the football/basketball area, quite in the day but very noisy at night, we had youths playing load music and the thud of the ball till 23.30 on our last night, we needed to be up early. Nous avions adoré notre séjour l’année dernière (1 semaine), donc nous avons décidé de revenir cette année pour 2 semaines. Malheureusement, notre expérience a été très décevante. • Tarif : nous avons payé plus de 3000 € pour 2 semaines. En effet, nous avons dû faire 2 contrats : un premier avec la VACAF, et un deuxième en payant plein tarif. Deux semaines avant l’ouverture des droits, j’avais pourtant un devis à 2500 €. Quand j’ai demandé pourquoi une telle augmentation, on m’a répondu : “c’est comme les billets d’avion, plus il y a de réservations, plus les prix montent”. Nous avons quand même réservé car nous voulions revenir, mais la déception a été grande. • Mobil-home : assez petit pour 5 personnes. Dans la chambre parentale, il est à peine possible de passer d’un côté du lit pour accéder au rangement. De plus, la propreté laissait à désirer : gazinière et plancha grasses, dessous de lit poussiéreux, couette tachée, radiateurs rouillés. • Restauration : service décevant. Nous avons attendu 30 minutes pour commander alors que le restaurant était vide. Les moules-frites étaient très bonnes, mais impossible de retirer la sauce barbecue du burger de ma fille quand nous avons fait la demande la serveuse a refuser . Pendant la soirée loto ma fille s’est faite réprimander par une serveuse pour une glace car elle c est servi seule alors qu’elle avait eu l’autorisation d’autres serveurs. Quand j’ai expliqué, on m’a parlé de haut et, en me plaignant ensuite, on ma dit que j’ai du mal comprendre limite on m’a fait passer pour une menteuse .. • Animations : identiques chaque semaine, donc très répétitives sur 2 semaines. • Sécurité : certaines animatrices roulent trop vite dans le camping. • Incidents : une bagarre en pleine piscine devant les enfants. Attribution d’un mobil-home à 7 jeunes qui ont fait un vacarme (7 plaintes déposées) sans sanction, alors que nous avons eu une remarque du vigile simplement parce que nos enfants riaient en jouant au UNO à 22h. • Piscine : nous savions déjà que le sol était abrasif et que les toboggans pouvaient abîmer les maillots et blesser , car c’était déjà le cas l’année dernière. Malheureusement, rien n’a été amélioré depuis. • Vols : nous nous sommes fait voler une bouée et la serviette de notre fils laissées sur le perron du mobil-home.

Le seul vrai point positif reste le parc aquatique, malgré quelques défauts connus, et la présence d’un arrêt de bus juste en face du camping, pratique pour les vacanciers non véhiculés. Mais malheureusement, cela ne compense pas le reste.

En résumé : pour plus de 3000 € et un camping affiché 5 étoiles, le service, les prestations et la qualité des mobil-homes ne sont clairement pas à la hauteur. L’année dernière, nous avions passé un très bon séjour malgré quelques petits défauts, mais cette année, honnêtement non. Nous ne...
