I booked through Canvas Holidays and I can't express enough how much I recommend you avoid this place! ||||The site itself, that belongs to a separate company, is lovely - but the caravan we were given is run by a separate company and it was awful - as was the lady who ran it!||||The caravan smelt damp and the toilet reeked of stale urine; there were holes in the curtains and the floor was stained. The pillows were so lumpy, the innards looked like they were made of cotton wool balls! There was no kettle or mop and the microwave did not work properly. The entire caravan was run down and shabby and the patio furniture was soo old and faded that it was brittle and unstable. The caravan was dirty in the corners and need a good mopping and the deck needed sanding as it gave us all several splinters!||||On arrival, we were given no map of the site, or any other useful information e.g. pool opening times or emergency numbers, it was my last day before I realised they ran a kids club! It was not explained to us how to operate anything or what we were to do if he had any issues.||||When we left we cleaned the caravan and it smelt and looked better than we arrived - only for the woman who works on behalf of Canvas Holidays, ( under the name of another company I had never heard of), to try and restrain our € 60 cash deposit because, a small cotton wall sized piece of fluff was under one bed and we had not defrosted the freezer! ||||I felt that this was a ploy she had used before to get cash from holiday makers and because she spoke very limited English she just shouted at me loudly in French. I had to go to the campsite office to explain the issue with the manager, who was lovely and clearly unhappy with her behaviour, he made her give me my money and apologised for...
Read moreMake sure you get a new(ish) mobile home....ours was old, damp, full of mold, drawers that didnt work, a four ring hob with only two that worked and the igition kept clicking itself. We were told as its not one of theirs, its owned and rented out they couldnt do repairs!? They need to tell him to do more than repair it.||||Watch out for your sunbed round the pool - you move and they are all over it like a rash...our advice go in the pool one at a time to save your beds - mind thats if you can get in for the aerobics with the worst music 'ever' copied from Annie Mac & Pete Tongs show's on Radio One! ||||If you're fluent in french you'll be fine, but your kids would be hard pressed to enjoy the club and as for stuff to do? oh, and wheres the trampolines on the photo? ||They need to overhaul this place in our opinion - theres not enough to do for the kids, no decent park, no tennis court, the football area is always shut.||||If you fancy a snack you have to pre order!!? We thought we'd try it out and proceeded to order chicken nuggets & chips for the youngest only to be told we can only have it the next night?? We cycled to another campsite nearby and used their facilities. It was okay but a nice restaurant called Marais is better.||||The area generally isnt bad, some nice beaches around that you can cycle to or drive to if you need to take your boards. Find another site though, we have stayed in many over the years in France and never one as dyer as...
Read moreWent here august 3-9th in 2025. The camp includes very high-quality rooms, a large outside and inside a pool and a very delicious bar/restaurant. I have some complaints regarding the pool staff. there were two medium sized slides that I was sitting on normally, but the blonde gentleman stopped me for no reason and said that I couldn’t enter the pool for the rest of the day. I asked for an explanation, but he simply kicked me out. after further explanation, it turns out he thought that I was “harassing” my little brother for splashing him. True professionals, people! Good work! The bar had absolutely delicious drinks and food with quick and kind service. The Virgin Mojitos may seem expensive first (6€) but once you try one you’ll never want to resist the urge to buy one every time you visit. we got to see the Julien Sordetto concert and the silent party, both of which were absolutely exquisite, and I had a blast. The caboose was fairly large for our seven people group. everyone had a great sleep because the beds were very comfortable. Regarding the location, it is only 3 km from the beach; but unfortunately, the beach is way too crowded to even get in. if you were thinking about going to the beach during your stay here, just don’t bother.
Do I recommend this place? Yes. Solid 4.5 star. Will come back if I...
