First time camping in France, 3 families with 7 children between us aged 8 to 15. We had 3 pitches together separated by a small hedgerow and situated close to the main centre, pool etc. Nice pool and sunbathing area, had some really hot weather and it did get busy. Children being children made plenty of friends even though there was a language barrier most of the time. As stated on the website men must wear speedo type shorts/trunks, normal swimming shorts not permitted!||There are 3 shower/toilet/pot washing blocks on site. A previous review mentions no hooks and small cubicles, I believe this to be the case with the blocks situated further from the centre. The block closest to us had 2 double hooks in each cubicle and the 4 larger showers also had sinks and mirrors in them, there was also a family room, disabled shower and 7 or 8 cubicles with just a sink and mirror for shaving and tooth brushing etc. Cleaned 2 or 3 times daily (take your own toilet roll).||You can hire a full size fridge which is great, however the site doesn't provide french to uk plug adapters (2pin to 3pin) might be worth taking with you as they are hard to buy over there (we managed to buy 3 in the store next to the big Super U @ 10 euros each).||The children went to the mini disco and watched the entertainment a few nights and enjoyed it. The onsite shop is a little expensive with limited choice, there is an Aldi 5 mins up the road and 2 other big supermarkets close by. Didn't eat at the on site restaurant but the food did look good.||The beach is about a 30 minute walk away, although we preferred to take a short drive further up to Saint-Gilles as there was plenty of restaurants, shops and ice cream parlours for refreshments if you're spending a long day at the beach.||Overall really enjoyed the holiday and would return to the site but will probably try a few more in...
Read moreWe stayed here for 11 nights from 21st August in a mobile home. Site is fairly small compared to other sites we have stayed on. Was a nice site with a relaxed feel. Had a nice pool area with 3 slides, jacuzzi and small area of the pool sectioned off for toddlers. The pool has had a covering put over part of the pool meaning it can be used in all weathers which is good as some days it was a bit breezy but was always lovely and warm under the cover. The pool is far too small on a hot day in August, you could barely move in it but was ok as the site emptied The site is in a great location giving you easy access to St Gilles, lovely beach only 5 mins drive. Or there was a path opposite the site which took you about 20 mins to walk to a pretty deserted beach. We walked there a few times to watch the sun set which was lovely. ||We travelled to Le Grand Defi tree top climbing park which was brilliant with trails for all ages and lots of zip wires across the lake, cost 50 Euros for 1 adult, 1 13 year old and 1 8 year old. Great value as we were there from 12 until 8 in the evening. Also spent a day at Atlantic Toboggan waterpark, this was a good day but lots of queuing and not sure it was worth the 88 Euro entrance fee for 4 of us. Also spent a day at Parc Des Dunes which had lots of activities including a few water slides, toboggan run, go carts to ride, lots of inflatables, trampolines and mini golf. ||Entertainment was pretty good at the site with a Foam party which was great fun one night, a Tropical show and a group which...
Read moreMediocre Camping. Pool is quite small and not well supervised. Our kids 15, 9 and 6 did not like it. The Camping is very far from the beach. Walking there will take more than 30 Minutes. Staff is generally helpful, e.g. when I needed to borrow a jack to change a tire. Unfortunately, the Camping misses toilets to empty and clean the grey and black water of caravans. Furthermore, Camping has no dog showers. Dogs are forbidden in the cleaning facilities. In fact, when our dog was one time not attached on the leash by mistake and followed me to the toilet (I did not notice it) we were immediately reported. But not enough, the staff then wrongly accused us walking around without a leash at other times - which I think is unacceptable because untrue. We therefore have a mixed experience and will not return. We don’t really understand how it got to have 4 stars and therefore agree with other ratings and comments about this misalignment. The facilities are not cleaned frequently enough during the high usage times and we always found the showers quite nasty with hairs and dirt all over in the evenings - and the Camping was not booked out by far, when we were there. Last I wish to mention that the manager of the restaurant is very professional and very friendly. It was a joy to speak and order with...
