Expliciet asked when i booked the holiday NOT close to the swimming pool area. And where is our mobile home located, right next to the playground!!😓 The playground is situated next to the swimming pool. On the playground kids are screaming until 23.30 last night and again playing soccer on 08.00. Close the playground at least from 23.00 - 0900 or something because it is very noisy.
Maybe it is because the camping is 100% french, they do not understand english or do not like the Dutch😏, but this is not what we asked for when we booked!! Or there was no other space left or something, but then it would be nice to say sorry and inform us before booking.
Also when we were checking in at 16.30, the mobile home was not ready? (Checking in from 1600)
Further the camping itself is ok and close too the beach. Bakery, you have to make a reservation, that is fine, but would be nice to know, also in English😊. Of course it is a french camping, what is no problem of course, we Will manage. Still dissapointing that we have a mobile home right where we did not want it. Also the administration do not speak english very well, so hard to explain.
@ director Thank you for your reaction. But we have said it that we did not want to be close to the swimming pool area when we made the reservation. That is why it is dissapointing that we are...
Read moreA lovely campsite. Excellent location in relation to the beach and town, a lovely pool with a nice childrens pool. We used the pool every day, generally well managed but some guests pushed the rules which spoilt it at times, could have done with the lifeguards being a bit more forthcoming with the expectations with these people to ensure if remained family orientated. ||Staff incredibly polite and helpful should you need. Limited English spoken by staff although this wasn’t an issue, we were pleased that it was a very French campsite. ||The beach is lovely and there are lots of other beaches to visit in the local proximity. ||Everything is within cycling / walking distance including a range of restaurants and bars and small shops. ||The campsite would benefit from a small shop. ||We stayed in a mobile home which was comfortable, could have done with a little starter pack for example washing up liquid etc just to set you up for the first day as we arrived late after a long journey could have done without having to go to a supermarket. ||There were animations etc but we didn’t make use of this as we wouldn’t understand it, it was a bit loud and the kids club was too late really. ||Check out process is a bit too formal and took too long but we understand why this is needed. ||We would visit...
Read moreLP has been a good experience for our summer holiday. We came with tour caravan and our place was good as booked. The roads on the camping are a little bumpy but doable. The campsite is close to the sea (not at the sea actually) with its own entrance+path and the beach is good. The campsite is mainly mobile homes, and is not crowded with Dutch (which we liked). There are surrounding campings offering their (sometimes) noisy animations, LP has little own animation. The restaurant offers bread in the morning, for groceries you go the SuperU. Toilets are reasonable, depending on the building (there is a revamped good toilet building). The showers are operated through a dongle to save water. The dongle (each) did require a substantial prefund which was discarded when leaving. LP is situated in La Griere which is a surrounding village approx. 2-3 kms from La Tranche sur Mere and is good and has own facilities for shopping/eating. La Tranche sur Mer has everything you expect from a beach location/summer village including the local market twice a week. I would recommend LP for...
