Les Dunes Hotel Spa — Hotel in Les Sables-d'Olonne

We have just enjoyed a few days stay at this fabulous small hotel in La Tranche. The location of the hotel is excellent, with great onsite complimentary parking which is such a bonus in this lovely seaside town. Just a short walk to the Restaurants and cafes and right on the beach front, couldn’t be better.||||Although we didn’t use it, the indoor pool and spa looked very nice and our 1st floor bedroom was extremely comfortable and very importantly to us, lovely and quiet. ||||But what stood out to us more than anything about this lovely hotel, was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff which started with the warm welcome on arrival. The ladies on the front desk were also so helpful in assisting us with our “return to the UK” documentation / COVID tests etc, a real life saver for us!||||We are really looking forward to returning to the Hotel Les Dunes again soon and would highly recommend you give it a try if travelling to this...

We spontaneously arrived at Les Dunes to stay for three nights on a weekend. Initially there was no possibility to have one room for this period (and we would have to move room every morning), but the very friendly staff was able to move some things around and we could have the same room for three nights. Also, parking is free. The rooms are clean, well maintained and modern. Good bathroom and shower. The swimming pool is just across the street, and is very nice as well. We didn't have breakfast or dinner at Les Dunes, but preferred to walk into the nice little town for that. Not a long walk, the hotel is about 5 minutes from the center. We did however get a few good wines to take away in the afternoon, which were provided in nice plastic cups. These we could take to the beach, which is just across the street beyond the parking area. Great location across from the beach and a short walk to the center with restaurants, bars etc. A clean modern hotel with friendly service and a superb covered heated pool plus spa (extra cost) with sun loungers was a fabulous advantage. Bikes could be rented and cocktails etc. enjoyed at the bar or with room service. Couldn’t fault the hotel and we liked our room 31 with its own patio terrace. ||||La tranche sue mer is a wonderful small picturesque seaside village with a good array of restaurants, bars, shops, ice cream cafes etc. and the beaches are to die for and so clean.
