We stayed one night at this B&B and I must say we were a little disappointed. The upside is that the property is a charming ancient water mill. The dining room has an amazing view of the stream literally falling over rocks and running under the building. The home made jams were delicious. Modern bathroom with good sinks and shower.||||The down sides are that the place really needs a lot of work. The gardens are very over grown. . . inviting mosquitoes and flies into a place which of course has no screens on the windows. Also the cat and dog come in your room if you leave the door open. Therefore our room was stuffy because we couldn't open the windows or the door. ||||Our large room on the upper floor had little privacy for the toilet/shower in that there is really no door and the modern curved wall does not reach the ceiling. The bed was too hard for us to be completely comfortable. ||||There is little to do in the immediate area except wine tasting. The WIFI really didn't work at all in our room.||||Also, the owner, Pasqual speaks zero English and although we understand and speak a little French, he did not have the patience to speak slowly and seem a bit annoyed that we were unable to understand him. ||||Although our stay was OK, at $100 a night, we would look for a different place to stay if in...

Read moreWe stayed here for one night on a bike trip through Bordeaux. Pascal the owner, Gigi the dog, and Luna the cat will welcome you warmly. We stayed in a bedroom overlooking the front gardens accessed from a stairway from the dining room. The bed was large and comfortable. The bathroom was large with a great shower and plenty of hot water. The whole inn is very clean. There are beautiful gardens around the home and bike storage in the back. The living room and fireplace are amazing. Dinner was great with melon and pate for an appetizer, duck for the main, and a pineapple tart for dessert, all served on the garden terrace. Breakfast was the typical French petit dejeuner with bread, jams, OJ, and hot drinks. The internet connection was good and could be accessed from the bedrooms. The only downside if you're not a French speaker is that Pascal does not speak much English, but he will manage to take good care...
