Maison De Maître Elegia — Hotel in Libourne

From the moment we arrived and until we left our stay can only be described as superb and a new experience. Particularly as people generally tend to go to cities, this area is far from that and for a couple of days was perfect for myself, wife and young child. Jaana was tentative, she showed us around thoroughly, catered to our needs, she even gave us fresh water from the well down the road and also enjoyed a glass of vino with us. She is lovely and made our stay extra special. Her recommendations for restaurants and wine tasting was spot on. Thanks so much Jaana we can see how much pride you take in looking after your guests. Your home is beautiful, clean and spacious.

😊: Our friends were getting married in Chateux Rigaud. We were less than ten mins away by car so was the perfect location.

Jana is born to host. She made our stay feel like we were staying with a family member. She is spotlessly clean, super friendly, knowledgable and an all round bonus for anyone staying at her beautiful property. The bed was SO comfortable - so much so we have come home desperate to replicate it. We thoroughly enjoyed our two nights at Maison de Maître Elegia! It’s a beautiful old bed and breakfast creatively restored by our lovely host Jaana. The outdoor space is divine and the breakfast was fresh and delicious. Unlike some hotel rooms, our room was spacious and decorated with a calming palette and a modern bathroom with shower and tub. The bedding was lovely and the towels smelled incredible!

Castillon-la-Bataille is a smaller town, but everything is within walking distance and you are right by the Dordogne River. Very convenient for touring the Chateaux...
