I have mixed fillings about this hotel. It’s a beautiful historic building, location and water view are great. The rooms however are outdated, bedsheets were very old, you can tell they’ve washed a million times. We stayed 2 nights and the breakfast first morning was great, everything super fresh, unfortunately the second morning we were served old croissants and had to wait for coffee forever. There’s also a restaurant which we went to on the first night. Food was ok, nothing great. However what we didn’t like that our server was adding portions to our table because she thought 1 wouldn’t be enough to share. We ordered a cheese plate from the menu, but got charged for two, one was more than enough for us. Couple people from the staff were extremely helpful and nice, the rest was just there, maybe due to language barrier.. Overall those things didn’t add up to a 5 star experience. This hotel is far from 5 star. As much as we liked the location we...
Read moreWhat a beautiful manor for an overnight stay. The rooms were large and the beds ridiculously comfortable. Breakfast was included and had the option to be brought to the room which was a great treat. Croissants were probably the best I've ever had and plenty of options to chose from. We were given the option to eat the on site Restaraunt, however there were no vegatrin options here. However the staff here went out of their way to recommend some great restaurants in the lovely town of Honfleur. We ended up having a great meal out, courtesy of the staffs recommednation. All staff here were excellent and very welcoming, a special credit to the young lad who checked us in, he provided us with dinner options and advised us, if we so wished, to visit his mother's jewelry shop in the town of Honfleur. We did so, and ended up making a purchase of a beautiful necklace. By the far the best stay of our trip. Thank you...
Read moreBeautiful hotel and very sweet rooms amid some nature and facing the water. There was a nice breakfast offered, while dinner is only offered|Some of the days so we didn’t experience it. We also were hoping to use the spa facilities but they have converted the spa and made changes and it is only offered to those who booked the special adjacent suite. |In terms of staff, we arrived in the evening for only one night and were hoping to get assistance in booking things for the next day since it was our only day there, but the woman at the reception kept saying she was busy and didn’t get around to it, which was disappointing. In the morning however, the man who replaced her was very helpful and extremely nice! So was the woman who served us breakfast. |All in all, it was a pleasant stay and the place and view were very relaxing, and just a walk away from the town of Honfleur and the beach...
