Manoir le Mesnil — Hotel in Lisieux

A lovely stay in a beautiful area of Normandy. A short drive to Deauville, Beaumont-en-Auge, Honfleur, Trouville-sur-Mer & Pont l'Eveque. The area has four famous cheeses - all delicious and served with the wonderful breakfast here. Our two hosts were exceptional and could not do enough for us. Home made jams, yogurt, a different dessert each morning. The manor house is beautiful and there is a large garden to enjoy. Our room was large and very clean with a comfortable bed. We were on the corner and had three large windows. The bathroom had an excellent walk-in shower. I needed an appointment for a mani/pedi & our host found me a salon. They also made restaurant reservations for us. The first two nights the weather was gorgeous and we enjoyed the wonderful breezes with open windows. The third through fifth nights, there was a heat wave and without any air conditioning we were extremely uncomfortable. Our host provided a fan which did help. I have no qualms about telling you to stay here but just be careful about...

We stayed here in early July 2017. The house is beautiful and has been decorated to a high standard. We stayed in the family suite which is on the top floor so we had two bedrooms each with their own bathroom and toilet. The room being at the top of the house was very warm in the sunny weather but with multiple aspects, when the windows were open there was a lovely cooling through breeze. Breakfast was fantastic with lots of home made produce, including jam, honey, yogurts and cakes/cookies.
