An absolute delight! What a place! We were greeted on arrival by Stephane, who showed us some of the chateau grounds and explained a little of its history as we walked in. After showing us our room, which was beautiful, we were provided with a very welcome pot of tea on the terrace. ||We had booked dinner at the chateau (Saturdays only) and had a wonderful evening, with delicious food and perfectly-chosen wines, on a table shared with the other guests - who were great company. ||Breakfast was everything we wanted, featuring home-made or local produce. ||Our only disappointment was that our stay was so short - we shall definitely be staying at Chateau de La Celle...

We stayed in one of the gîtes, it's really comfortable & has all the amenities you could need. We had a lovely breakfast in the castle which set us up for the day & the drive ahead. A few years ago I had a longer stay in La Celle Guenand and it's a perfect base to discover the region. Read moreThe Chateau is beautifully presented and set in lovely grounds within a small village. All the rooms are comfortably furnished with modern en-suite facilities. Stephen is a welcoming host and provides you with a drink on arrival. A super four course dinner can also be pre-booked. The continental breakfast is adequate and includes some wonderful local honey.
