MOULIN D'AMOUR — Hotel in Loches

You need a GPS to find the place which is behind a dairy farm in the countryside. The mansion is next to a romantic 17th century watermill and river. There is a small heated outdoor pool and a slide and a trampoline. The rooms are large, very comfortable and tastefully decorated. There are a couple of kitchenettes to be shared between rooms Adamson you can prepare your own simple meals provided you don't do extensive cooking (microwave, but no cooking on the stove). Our only negative points (the reasons for the 4 stars) are the following. We arrived after 4pm, the check-in time, after a seven-hour drive, and we had to wait for 30 mn for someone to show up and check us in. Our second problem was that the wifi did not work at all for us either in our room or even downstairs in the living room (and we tried it on several devices). If you are not dependent on wifi, I strongly recommend this place which is spotlessly clean and beautiful...

We stayed at Moulin d'Amour for only one night, but as soon as we arrived we wished we had booked at least a week! The place is stunning - perfectly mixing together traditional French features with modern, romantic touches. It is clean, sustainable (massive solar panels, locally sourced food) and quiet. Nina is an extremely kind and caring host and a great cook! Definitely recommend having dinner there if possible. There are beautiful places to have coffee or read a book scattered throughout the property & great views from all windows.||||Have to also mention, if travelling this summer, COVID measures throughout the property are spot on - definitely felt at ease knowing that Nina is taking all the precautions necessary to keep her guests safe.||||We really hope we will...

I usually don't give perfect scores very easily, but this place has it all: a nice setting in the countryside, close to the river, a well maintained and renovated building and property, lots of place for the children, farm animals, a decent size pool, toys for the children, a lovely and very welcoming host, yummy dinner and breakfast, gorgeous rooms, a lot of attention to detail (chocolate, water...), easy access to kitchen and fridge, pool billard table... and I'm probably missing some more.
