We spent two nights at Maison Catalina, during the Easter weekend of 2025. |The booking process was very easy; by emailing Kathrin directly, we booked a family triple room. The house has been tastefully renovated and is comfortable. |The property is very well maintained, with a lush and green garden, given this time of year, full of flowers, birds and with several corners to rest, relax or have a picnic. The swimming pool is magnificent, but as it was still cold, and it had rained a lot it was not possible to use it.|Also worth mentioning is the delicious and copious breakfast, served between 8:30 and 10 am, with local and homemade products, namely jams, sweets and eggs from the house's chicken coop.|Another very strong positive note is the hospitality of the owners, who are very attentive and give lots of suggestions for things to do, restaurants and practical tips. |Maison Catalina is a 5-minute drive from the village of Gignac and 20 minutes from Saint Guillaum le Desert, a medieval village that is a must-see in this region. It is possible to take several walking tours in the region as well as using bicycles. Another interesting village to visit in the area is Montpeiroux, a wine village, where you can buy very high-quality wine in its wineries.|We strongly recommend Maison Catalina if you like to travel locally, without rushing and if you need to disconnect.|To Kathrin and Andreas thank you for your kind welcome! You are truly the soul of...
Read moreThanks to Andreas and Kathrin's warm hospitality, we spent two fantastic days at this property. The rooms have different themes, all connected to the beauty the area has to offer. We stayed in the "Wine" room: petit cave. The room was recently renovated and tastefully decorated, with a comfortable bed and a rain shower. The garden is beautiful: there are seating areas everywhere, and you immediately feel at one with nature. The breakfast was delicious, including homemade yogurt and eggs from their own chickens. The pool is also beautifully situated and has saltwater. Everything is perfectly coordinated. The hosts are very helpful, offer excellent dining recommendations (restaurant La Fontaine aux Artistes!!!), and are extremely generous and friendly. Don't have a bath towel? No problem, we'll provide two. We'll...
Read moreThis place is in the middle of a French winery and olive grove. The owners have tastefully transformed this old historic house and restaurant into a beautiful and relaxing bed and breakfast with modern amenities. There are many naturally shaded sitting areas to relax and enjoy the sounds of nature. The temperature here in the summer is about 30 degrees Celsius but there is a 15m long swimming pool to cool down. In the evening the temperatures will fall to about 20 degrees and they offer a programmable fan in the rooms. In addition each room also offers a coffee machine and an electric water kettle for tea. I highly recommend a longer stay (2-4 days) to explore the region and the town of Gignac. It is a great quiet place to reflect...
