Mise en Scène — Hotel in Lodève

I can recommend this place to whoever reads my review. The location is really well hidden in the landscape. When you arrive you only see an older looking house, which doesn't make you think that there is a modern bed and breakfast behind it. When we arrived, the owners just arrived, so that was easy. Otherwise we only had to ring the bell. The greated us with open arms, and immediately showed us the way to our room. The room was really modern, and had all comfort one could need. There was an airco and heater, depending on the weather. There was a very modern shower, and a large round bed. A round bed is not always comfortable with 2 large people, but we made it work. A plus, was that the bed was 2.5m in diameter, so that means I would also fit with almost 2m (that doesn't happen a lot!). Talking about my height, maybe it would be a good idea to look for a lamp in the bathroom that would also fit larger people. Now I bumped into almost every time, which is somewhat annoying. There was a pool, hot tub and sauna, which we could all see from our room. We didn't have the luxury of time, to test them out. But we saw it was enjoyed by other people. In the morning there was a nice breakfast: waffles, pancakes and bread; combined with several types of jam, chocolate paste and cheese. The waffles and pancakes tasted exceptionally well. I'm usually not a fan of them, but I actually really enjoyed them. I'm even curious about the recipe.

If we ever come back in the neighborhood, we will definitely come back here. We just had the best time here. Thanks for having us! I will end my review, the same way I started it: I can recommend this place to whoever...

This tranquil retreat is less than 30 minutes from Montpellier airport, the mountains or the Mediterranean. ||||The rooms are bright, clean, modern and comfortable. Each has a sliding glass door opening onto a private deck, a nice place to enjoy a quiet drink with views of rolling green hills, vineyards and a medieval castle. ||||The health spa (pool area, sauna, jacuzzI and massage table, are only a few yards away). The massage kindly organised by our host was out of this world. This is the perfect place to relax and forget your troubles. ||||There is also a large deck area with a BBQ, a lounge, kitchen and dining area which our welcoming hosts invited us to share. ||||Breakfast was delicious, with home made jams and spreads, French cheese, eggs, croissants, pan du chocolates, yogurt and freshly squeezed orange juice. The village was very friendly, we got a bit lost and the local children guided us to Mise en Scene. We were greeted by owner Fred who opened the secure parking for us. We were shown to our room which was spacious, with a large very comfortable bed. The shower had a large shower head and the controls were easy to operate.|Each day there was a generous breakfast, with fresh croissants, pain au chocolat, bread, fruit juice, cheeses, cake and superb coffee.|There was a small clean swimming pool and a hot tub.|The room had a small terrace and furniture, and enjoyed wonderful views across the hillsides.|Fred was a most attentive host and rescued us when our taxi, that was to take us to a wedding, did not turn up.|Three nights was far too short a stay, I would like to stay here for at least a week and tour the wonderful...
