Just returned from a 13 night stay at this site. Our pitch was at the far side of the site near to the volleyball area. Pitches reasonable size but some were much bigger for same price. The luck of the draw I suppose. No hedges between pitches so could clearly hear conversations in the tent next to our caravan. Only advantage of our pitch was that we could sit at the back of it and watch the cows in the field behind. Quite a hike from our pitch (221) to the toilet block. In the toilet blocks the toilets are on one side and the sinks on the other side. Need to provide own toilet paper and soap. Could buy bread from Réception and order croissants etc the day before but we never did. Pools were good although the outdoor pool could feel chilly even on hot days. Some control would be good in the indoor pool as many children would just take a run and jump in with no regard for who was in the pool. We saw many near misses including some people nearly landing on my children in the water. The floor was also very slippy at the pool entrance. Restaurant on site was perhaps a bit expensive for what it is. Steak was chewy but the trout was good and the burgers. Very limited children's menu. My children ended up with adults meals. The site could do with more water taps as there wasn't many. It also seems that all the mobile homes with their own facilities are nearer to the toilet blocks and those without their own are the furthest away. Our stay was ok but would be reluctant to stay here again has have stayed on better sites in France for the same money. Also had to pay the outstanding balance on arrival which we've never had to do before. Locally there's a local village (3 mins drive) with some small gift shops, a great butchers with a deli, a creperie and bread shop. Most other places are back towards Dijon. We did enjoy a boat trip at Lake Vouglans and a visit to Baume-les-Messieurs is worthwhile. We had a pleasant meal at Chateau Gilly near Dijon (booking advised but did so in advance of our trip via email). The Jean Bourdy wine cellar is also worth a visit. Owner is very knowledgeable and speaks English. We also visited the museum of Laughing Cow cheese (la vache qui rit) in Lons-le-Saunier. Would visit the area again but would look around at...
Read moreWe had mobil home 194 (light blue), which has space for 6 people (we were with 4). Upon arrival we were brought by a staff member. There is ample parking space next to it. The mobile home was brand new, had a decent kitchen with bar. Rooms were small. We used one of the bedrooms as luggage room. If we had a smaller home I think we would have had issues with the luggage. There is a huge deck in front of the house with a table where we had breakfast every morning. The home is situated next to the mini golf and sports field and has a nice view. Only downside of this home (not sure if the adjacent homes have the same issue) is that there are 4 sewer outlets covered by a couple of bricks on the field right in front of the home where occasionally a really bad smell emerges. ||The kids loved the swimming pools and especially the water slide. The animation team has frequent activities. Our kids did not like all of them but they loved the pool parties. Animation team was Dutch and they spoke Dutch, French and English. ||Every morning you can get fresh bread (baguette, croissants, pain-au-chocolat) at the reception (you have to order the day before).||The restaurant has some nice foods. We loved the cheese fondue and the kids loved the pizzas. Staff is very friendly too. ||WiFi is not free and not good. Also 4G reception is not always good so that’s definitely a downside.||There’s a big supermarket (Atac) on a 10-minute drive which had everything we needed.||All-in-all we loved our stay here and I would...
