La Petite Maisonnette — Hotel in Lons-le-Saunier

My daughter and I spent 4 glorious days at "La Petite Maisonnette". The house itself is magnificent. Marika and Ben did the renovations over several years (there is a book in the house that documents the process) and it is obvious that it was a labor of love. Each detail was thoughtfully constructed: the layout, the furniture, the wood and metal work. We were always excited to be coming home at the end of our day of touring the area. The grounds are expansive -- although we barely were able to take advantage of them, one can imagine kids running wildly in the large grassy area, with table and chairs and barbecue equipment. But without question the highlights of "La Petite Maisonnette" were Marika and Ben themselves, who made the trip complete. They were that perfect combination of warm and welcoming while being non-invasive and respecting our privacy. We arrived much later into the night than expected and yet the dinner we ordered was still warm and waiting for us. It was delicious, as was our stay....

My husband and I had a great stay in “La Petite Maisonnette” a few weeks ago. Marika and Ben were very welcoming, and the house is really nice, clean, tidy and full of small details that made us feel like staying in a “mini château”. It’s a peaceful place to enjoy the silence, the birds singing and the cow bells, great to disconnect from the city. We took the car to Lac Chalain for a swim, and took the opportunity to buy some local cheese, ice-cream and honey. Perfect place to relax. We’ll definitely come back...
