Despite viewing the site on Google Earth, it wasn't anything like what we'd seen! On arrival, we struggled to manoevre our twin axle caravan around the single track, one way system to our allocated pitch. The pitch was so small we'd never fit our van on, let alone put an awning up. We were then given a corner plot, considerably larger but under a tree - resulting in the car & van being covered in bird poo and tree sap. Also, it was opposite what can only be described as a travelling community. Caravans parked everywhere, children and dogs running all over and adults screaming and shouting. Not a pleasant experience, made worse when a motorhome came and parked so close to us that I'm surprised he could open his door! As mentioned previously, no 6m rule here!||||The second week of our fortnight was inundated with teenagers running amock around the site late at night. This was also the week that the entertainment started, so we had that alongside the rowdy teenagers, until late at night.||||The cafe on site serves decent food, but it's expensive. The pool area is crammed into a tiny spae and despite the size of the site, there is no shop - another major negative.||||Only one chemical waste point on the whole site, and one set of bins - outside of the main site, which meant they had to go out in the car.||||I can't comment on the showers or toilet block as I didn't use them, but they each had a washing machine and tumble dryer in them, about the only thing that was in abundance!||||The only positive I can give this site is its location, it's right on a lovely beach, and a nice 10 minute walk from the small village centre with it's shops, bakers and bars.||||||Sorry I can't...
Read moreCamping Belle Plage was an excellent experience for the whole family. The receptionist was exceptionally helpful when we arrived. I never got her name but she was always smiling and greeted us whenever she met us during our stay. Gael in the entertainment team was exceptional and organised excellent activities for everybody. His good humour and helpful demeanour was always appreciated. The heated pool was great and our daughter loved the mushroom shower feature in the toddler pool. The playground and bouncy castle were also great facilities. The beach is accessible straight through the lower gate in the campsite. It's a fabulous beach with lots of interesting shells and stones. The Greenway also runs along the back of the campsite and is another excellent facility right on your doorstep. The village of Lomener is ten minutes was along the board walk and has a supermarket as there is none onsite. L'amour plage is a 15 minute cycle in the opposite direction. The pizza and chips onsite were delicious. The bar was also good and was reasonable enough . There is also an option to order from the Boulanger the day before and it is delivered fresh (hot) to the campsite . The mobile homes were clean and modern. We will be...
Read moreStayed two nights in a motor home. Paid a little extra for larger pitch and water but when got there was told water not connected to ours yet so gave us refund which was fair enough especially as got to stay on the larger pitch. Our pitch looked over to the public footpath and must admit it would be noisy a||in high summer if had a pitch backing right onto it. I noticed some pitches beside the trees have lots of roots so it's just something to be aware of. Close to beach as others have said and it wasn't overly busy which was great. The shower block we used was always being cleaned and had a hairdryer in the ladies section with plug sockets if want to use own. Had a bouncy castle and small kids play area. Didn't use pool and can't remember of had any slides - sorry :) It was out of season when we went so was lovely and quuet so not the place to go if looking for anything lively. No onsite shop but this didnt bother us. Staff were very friendly too. Would...
