Stayed here as a group booking, 18 people with 14 motorbikes. Location is good but if you are on the road side its not going to be quiet.||This looks like an old budget 'chain' hotel thats now in private hands. Parking at the back is big enough for plenty cars/bikes but all the garden area in in a poor state and not making a good first impression.||Reception staff okay, usual info, then off to the room. Good news pretty much stops there.||See from the photos the standard of cleanliness here, not just a bit of dust but piles of it. Not sure if the fly died trapped in the dust or get swatted. Bed linen and towels clean, but rest of the cleanliness needs seriously looked at.||Shower was a tight squeeze, pretty common by the rest of the groups comments, and the air con/heating did not seem to work. When we were going out to eat another member of the group was already asking about their air con not working, appears none of the air con was working in any part of the hotel!! 30+ degrees outside so you can imagine how hot the rooms were, and for the ones unlucky enough to be on the road side that meant the choice of no sleep due to suffocating heat during the night, or no sleep due to traffic noise to leave the window open.||||Okay, time for breakfast and get out. Actually quite a good choice for breakfast but when i tried to cut through the cheese, a Camembert, the crappy knife supplied snapped the handle off. I took this to the guy at reception and was told it was not a problem and just leave it on the counter. I think he seriously missed the point the equipment is not up to the job so simple and now there are little black plastic fragments in the Camembert for the rest of his clients to chomp on.||||This is classed as a 3 star hotel, maybe it was buy 2 get one free but even at 2 stars it was at least 1 too many.||||I have stayed in hotels with no stars that were better and cleaner than this,...
Read moreFirstly, a room at st vincents cost us a mere price of $32 euros, between two people. That's great value. ||Secondly, they have very nice, helpful and accommodating staff. We are not french and don't speak it well at all and nobody minded and were happy to speak to us in english. ||Thirdly, The room was great! Comfortable bed, clean bathroom, wardrobe, tv, desk and free wifi in your room (and the rest of the hotel)||I don't know what people were talking about as far as traffic goes; we had no problem. It is just off a main rd but it's not like a five lane highway so it's really not an issue. Perhaps we could have just gotten a well positioined room but I doubt that's it.||There is a good breakfast and they do reasonably priced dinner also. There's free parking on site AND there is an elevator which is handy if you have lots of luggage as we did. ||All in all great value for money, comfortable and clean. Couldn't fault...
