Second visit to Chateau de Chatenay and again it dis not disappoint us. ||Christophe is a very friendly and helpful person and makes young feel very welcome. He seems to always have a smile on his face||There were many a project to improve the building and it is already beginning to look good. ||Our room was in the main building and was huge and comfortable. Took our meals inside the main room which was also the bedroom and lounge. ||The the best of it all was Stephanie’s cooking. The food was superb and very much to our liking. ||Tip: Book wine tasting with Christophe. He is very knowledgeable. We didn't know what to expect when we booked online sight unseen, and we loved it. We stopped for the night on our way from southern France to Paris. The location is convenient to the motorway (A6) and yet completely quiet. We stayed in the Suite Blanche - a very large space serving as bedroom/living room/dining room plus a second bedroom, a bathroom and a kitchenette. The rooms were spotless clean and very comfortable. Our hosts were responsive, friendly and very accommodating. We had dinner and breakfast in our room, and the food was fresh and delicious with ingredients the owners chose from local farms. We already posted a review on airbnb, but we had such a great stay, we also wanted to post someting here with photos. My husband and I had a wonderfull week of vacation at the chateau. Both the hosts are really friendly and helpfull and make you feel at home. Stephanie is a wonderfull chef, and Christophe a very good storyteller with big knowledge about there wine. The chateau is beautifull and there is a good balance between privacy and social contact. We never enjoyd our holiday this much, so definitly are comming back. Thank you! Lots of love from...
