We have stayed in hundreds of hotels in Europe over the years. This hotel is good for a basic stay. The positives: the first room they gave us on the first floor was not much more than a bed and a bathroom. We asked for a room with a shower and a desk which they nicely gave us. Unfortunately, to get to the second floor there is no elevator and the stairs to the second floor are horrendously steep and the steps are shallow. There is a good possibility that you will fall down them while hauling your luggage up them. No elevator in a hotel is inexcusable. If we had known this we would not have stayed there. The positives: the man was very pleasant and accommodating, the blonde woman not so pleasant, comfortable room, quiet room, clean property. The negatives: no air conditioning, lack of elevator, meager breakfast choices, WiFi was hit or miss especially after people checked in, poor room lighting, half shower door causes bathroom floor to flood. Bottom line-we would not stay here again-especially because of the lack of elevator, the steep staircase...
Read moreReally helpful personel, They speak at least 3 languages, English, German and French. The food is really nice. I had linguini with chicken pieces. What I found really nice how they had added sun dried tomatoes to the creme sauce and there was also buffalo mozzarella added. Really well build up portion. The hotel side seems to be really clean and for the first second you feel welcome here.Third day in a row, eating in the hotel restaurant. Today had creme brulee au foie gras as starters. It was delicious, the foei Gras was soft and nice texture, the taste was rich but not too much.. Just perfect as a starter. The main course was a beef tornado (or similar name) this was great, the meat was tender, butter soft and tasted great. The sauce was absolutely great, light note of ahorn syrup just great. As a dessert I had a coffee assortion just mixed dessert. You can just enjoy this food. As a comparison we needed to sleep 1 night in other hotel... Don't make that mistake book this...
