We enjoyed our stay here - incredibly peaceful with an incredible variety of birds to hear, increasing our "life list" significantly with several warblers including the Cetti Warbler. The pitches are large and flat grass - slightly parched in the June heatwave. There's water aviation each and black/grey can be put down the manholes that are pretty much everywhere. The owner/host speaks perfect English and is up early each day cooking bread & croissants to order. Wonderful they are too! Coffee and ices are also available. The only slight negative is the condition of the toilets & showers - if these were updated and maintained, I'd rate the visit as 5* We had a car with us so getting around was easy but otherwise the location is a little remote and most places are 30+ minutes drive away as crossing the Seine is only possible a distance away from where the site is locked into an oxbow in the river. We'd definitely stay here again if in the area...
Read moreWe had a great stay! The lady "Brigitte" is very nice and welcoming, she agreed that we arrive a bit late (~7:30PM). She gave us a cable to have electricity in our tent. There is a shared kitchen with everything you need (kitchen ware, microwave/grill, stove, fridge...). The toilettes are super clean and equipped with soap and tissue. The shower is clean too and well furnished / maintained. Finally, there is a tiny restaurant/bar in which you can have pizza, fries and croissants, petit pain in the morning. Of course coffee, orange juice and beer 🍻. Overall, we had a very comfortable stay! Would...
Read moreWe arrived earlier than expected the helpful English speaking owner provided us with coffee whilst we waited for static caravan to be vacated. Walked our dog along the banks of River Seine from campsite. The caravan was clean, light and very comfortable, ideally located for seeing Giverny and good supermarkets in Mousseaux sur Seine.||The picnic table on the timber decking terrace attached to the caravan was a very pleasant place to eat and drink the local wine. There are just hotplates and...
