When we arrived, it was midnight, so the place looked as though it was closed up for the night, but we were given a very warm welcome by owner Michelle. The little private road was tricky to spot, as it was tucked back behind some hedges and seemed to go between some industrial units, but all looked better in the light of day. The style of house reflects the name and I imagined it having belonged to a millionaire in the 60's or 70's. There is a well-maintaned garden to the rear, with terraces and a good size swimming pool. The town centre is just a short stroll away, with shops and restaurants, but beware if arriving slightly off-season, as the choice on Sunday and Monday evening is sparse. Read more4 of us stayed there for one night during the gararock festival for the muse concert. It's a bit away from the festival but by the time we booked there were few options left. She were expecting some other customers but she came very often to our breakfast table to carry on the conversation which is also something you don't get from hotels. The only thing is that the place is not...
