Camping Las Chancas — Hotel in Mont-de-Marsan

The camping and the mobile home were nice, but the agent handling the rent was just a disaster:

What were not advised and what made the holidays bitter was: -no one had advised that we were supposed to call and say we were coming at a specific hour-but that was quickly sorted and it would not be a problem at all -upon arrival we found out that we were supposed to rent bedsheets-this was not mentioned anywhere in the booking information- that could have been sorted if the reception was open but it was not -we were greeted by the agent who informed us that we were supposed to pay 80 euro deposit more for cleaning (besides 500 euro guarantee)- we did -upon departure the agent came to receive the keys and she stated that we should clean a couple of items more-we did clean again whatever she said -15 minutes later she came back and said that some other(additional) items were supposed to be cleaned- we did -when she came for the third time she stated that we could "arrange it between the parties with 20-40 euro " so she would clean the mobilehome better we understood that in fact it was a way to dissuade us from cleaning and making her pay all the 80 euro or a partial amount. And we said NO. We were threatened with calling the police. -we requested to have the invoice issued three times. It was supposed to be send to our email address. It never happened. It all looked like a tax scam.

Ce qui n'a pas été ecrit et qui a rendu les vacances amères, c'est : personne n'avait indiqué que nous étions censés appeler et dire que nous venions à une heure précise - mais cela a été rapidement réglé et ce ne serait pas du tout un problème à notre arrivée, nous avons découvert que nous étions censés louer des draps - cela n'était mentionné nulle part dans les informations de réservation - cela aurait pu être réglé si la réception était ouverte mais ce n'était pas le cas -nous avons été accueillis par l'agente qui nous a informés que nous devions payer 80 euros de caution de plus pour le nettoyage (en plus de 500 euros de garantie) - nous l'avons fait au moment du départ, l'agente est venue recevoir les clés et elle a déclaré que nous devrions nettoyer quelques articles de plus - nous avons de nouveau nettoyé tout ce qu'elle a dit -15 minutes plus tard, elle est revenue et a dit que d'autres articles (supplémentaires) devaient être nettoyés - nous l'avons fait -lorsqu'elle est venue pour la troisième fois elle a déclaré que nous pouvions "l'arranger entre les parties avec 20-40 euros" pour qu'elle nettoie mieux le mobil home nous avons compris qu'en fait c'était un moyen de nous dissuader de nettoyer et de la faire payer les 80 euros ou un montant partiel. Et nous avons dit NON. On nous a menacé d'appeler la police. -nous avons demandé l'émission de la facture trois fois. Elle devait être envoyé à notre adresse e-mail. Elle n'est jamais arrivée. Slightly disappointed to arrive at 18.15 mid April and find the office closed and nobody answered the alternative telephone number. The website shows there would be a restaurant/cafe and pool both were closed and so we pitched our 2 tents and then found only a bad toilet (no toilet paper or toilet seat) and only one basic basin and shower. The whole place was quiet and peaceful and we were very lucky that a man helped us book pizzas which were delivered in about 40 mins and were very welcome. Wir hatten hier leider keinen guten Aufenthalt. Der Camping wirbt mit „ouverte toute l‘année“ darüber haben wir uns erst gefreut, da es im November noch wenige Campingplätze gibt die geöffnet sind. Wir reisen zu zweit ohne Auto nur mit Fahrrädern und haben hier im November 15€ bezahlt für einen Stellplatz für das Zelt. Das ist schon sehr viel für diese Jahreszeit. Von einem technischen Gerät, vermutlich der Kamera aus ertönte alle paar Minuten ein ekliges und nerviges Piep Geräusch über den ganzen Platz, wir haben unter der uns gegebenen Nummer niemanden erreicht. Der Koch sagte uns, in der Nacht sei es aus, was es leider nicht war. Dazu kam, dass bis spät in die Nacht andere Campingplatz Nutzer zu hören waren, die wohl meinten sie seien alleine dort. Die Duschen waren nicht warm und die Sanitären Anlagen im allgemeinen dreckig, staubig und voller toter Spinnen. Zu allem Übel wurde dann am nächsten Morgen das Wasser auf dem ganzen Platz abgestellt ohne uns vorher darüber zu informieren. So konnten wir nicht mal unsere Wasserflaschen auffüllen bevor wir abgefahren sind. Wenn man im November geöffnet hat und Geld für Übernachtungen möchte dann ist der Mindestservice eines 2 Sterne Campings...
