N'Atura Hôtel — Hotel in Mont-de-Marsan

I last reviewed this hotel back in October 2013 when I said I only used it because it was convenient. Since then the owner has moved on and the new owner is slowly bringing the place back to life. The hotel is cleaner, the breakfasts more generous (there is now a bar) and everything appears to be working. The new owner is also restoring the gardens on the north bank of the Adour river back to their previous glory; he still has a way to go, but the swimming pool should be back in operation this summer, making this hotel a nice place to stay for the weekend.||||The beds are comfortable, but when turning over in bed, the noise was enough to wake the dead. I brought this to the attention of the owner and hopefully, next time I stay there he will have sorted it, but that is why I have given it only a 3 star rating.||||The hotel is dog friendly and there is wifi and a tv in every room. About two years ago, the previous owner moved on and the new owners are making great strides an restoring this hotel to its former glory. The hotel is cleaner, the breakfasts more generous (there is now a bar) and everything appears to be working. The new owners have restored the swimming pool to working order and it is beautifully clean, making this hotel a nice place to stay for the weekend.

They are also restoring the gardens on the north bank of the Adour river and though this will take time, one can already see across the river Adour and by next year the entire river bank should be under control so that breakfast on the terrace will be a real pleasure on a fine morning.;

We stayed on day 29 of our Santiago Compostela pilgrim walk.||The property is on the edge of town just over the river, but overlooking the river.||It's a great spot. We were welcomed warmly with strong English and advised that our Demi pension evening meal was at a local bar restaurant just over the river. A little disappointing at first as we were expecting to eat in but ultimately was enjoyed a good three course meal with lots of choices in each course in a lively location.||Our room was well designed, recently refurbished and had a seperate toilette ... A good functional room.||The hosts were very friendly and accommodating and the wifi was excellent.||It also had an extremely comfortable bed, but few power points unfortunately in our electronic age. The host also assisted us to dry some washing.||Breakfast was typical and a highlight with lots of choices and eggs any style...
