On arrival our party was greeted by Marta who gave us a warm welcome. I had a lovely room overlooking the countryside, it was very quiet. Rooms all have names of places. Luggage was delivered quickly. A nice spacious room, very good air con seeing it was so hot. Not a lot of hanging space and not for long dresses, but adequate. A very comfortable bed. Cupboard space and a few hangers. A case rack and tea and coffee, the lighting was good. TV but no English channels not even Euro news. No safes for security. The bathroom had a nice walk in shower, a separate loo, also a small heater on the wall with a towel rail and liquid soap. The meals taken in the restaurant which has two cars on show, (they say the place is a bit quirky). BF a nice variety of dried fruit and a few fresh ones, cereal, juice various bread and cakes. Only a couple of hot things. Staff are all very friendly and wanting to please you, especially Marta. Rooms 1 - 9 are on the quieter side and the DG is good. I had a nest of house martins outside my window which l watched feeding all week. Its a lovely place but not suitable for a long stay or for large groups. We should have eaten in the adjoining restaurant, but it had closed down the week before our arrival. The nearest town is about 10 min's away by car. I would recommend, if passing the area for a...
Read moreArrived a few days before Christmas in what we thought was going to be a quiet time but the Hotel seemed very busy. Although the hotel is isolated there is a very large carpark and the greeting was very warm and welcoming from the lady on reception. The rooms are all very modern, large and clean with all facilities. One of the most comfortable beds we have slept on in a hotel. Unfortunately the restaurant attached to the hotel was closed and we were recommended to drive a couple of miles down the road to an excellent restaurant. A very good breakfast with plenty of choice in a unusually but fun decorated room. It was such a good experience that we booked again for our return journey in early January and were not disappointed. This time the attached restaurant was open so made a perfect night....
Read moreWe visited on the way from Magny-Cours to Calais. This great little roadside hotel along the N7 just South of Montargis proved a perfect stop-over.
The hotel is very easy to find and there is lots of parking, especially around the back. The staff are very friendly and speak excellent English. The hotel is styled in the fashion of a museum of classic auto-routes and this gives it some charm.
The rooms are basic but comfortable. There is a kettle and tea and the shower is excellent with good pressure.
The breakfast is excellent with a good selection including fresh pastries and some cooked bacon and eggs.
Near the hotel, there is a new (opened in the past few weeks) and excellent Italian restaurant ~2km North and an automatic Total fuel...
