Maison des Forges, chambres d'hôtes — Hotel in Montbard

We stayed one night in this lovely B&B in Buffon. Although located on the road, there was no traffic at all during the night. In fact, we kept the window open all night and could hear the frogs in the distant pond across the road. Upon arrival we were met by Madame Agnes Flot who showed us our room and made sure we had everything we needed. Our room was located at the top of a tall, outside stone stairway. The room was very clean and included many amenities including an electric hot water kettle with a nice selection of teas, two chairs in front of a fireplace (not sure if it is a working fireplace), umbrellas in case of rain, loads of local tourist information, a big armoire to hang clothes and stocked with extra pillows, blankets, etc. The bathroom was clean and also well equipped with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was in a ground floor room, accessed by going back down the outside stairway, and consisted of breads, jams, yogurt, and coffee or tea. The Burgundy Canal is just across the street from the B&B and a very pleasant walk can be taken on the foot/bike path which runs alongside it. We parked our car on the grass along the canal, just in front of the B&B. Madame Flot is very friendly and was always checking to make sure we had everything we needed. We communicated mostly in French but when we faltered, Madame Flot was able to cover any gaps with some English so it all worked out. The B&B is well located for cyclists, just across the road from the canal. There is secure, inside storage for bikes. nous avions réservé au mois d'octobre 2018 pour une chambre du 29 au 30/6/2019 avec table d'hôtes||Nous avions reçu une réponse favorable tant pour la chambre que pour la table d'hôtes Deux jours avant notre arrivée nous avons envoyé un mail aux propriétaires pour savoir à quelle heure nous pouvions arriver - la dame m'a demandé avec qui j'avais réservé et je lui ai répondu que c'était avec elle - elle ne retrouvait pas mon mail de réservation (bizarre car moi je l'avais sous les yeux)||Heureusement aucune chambre n'était occupée mais par contre par de table d'hôtes possible||Lors de notre arrivée, je lui ai montré son mail de confirmation et voici la réponse qui m'a été faite : "vous avez réservé très tôt et lorsque je fais le tri dans mes mails, les gens qui réserve tôt parfois ne viennent pas"||donc déduction faite elle avait jeté mon mail||Nous avons dû réserver un table nous mêmes dans un restaurant à côté (je pense qu'elle aurait pu le faire pour nous puisqu'elle ne faisait pas la table d'hôtes prévue)Le wifi ne marchait pas et lorsque je suis allée le signaler le propriétaire m'a simplement dit que c'était mes appareils||L'accueil a été très froid||Le petit déjeuner est très simple et comparé avec la chambre d'hôtes que nous avons fait à l'aller (prix 70 eur) le prix payé de 72 eur est trop cher||||On nous a même compté 2 eur pour une canette de biere et vu les circonstances ils auraient pu nous l'offrir||||Je ne retournerai pas dans cette...
