Maison Galimard — Hotel in Montbard

Truly magical experience! Sophie is such a lovely host, she made us feel so welcome and her adorable dog Sky. Her home and Flavigny take you back to a time we have all forgotten. A feeling of being able to turn off from the hectic life we lead today. I did not look at my phone once! I cannot understand why someone in one review stated there was no lift, it is one small flight of stairs, it is a historic medieval listed building. Literally only a few steps to first floor where the rooms are. Or someone who stated be aware as you do not get the whole house (it clearly states that it is a bed & breakfast) and it is a truly beautiful bed & breakfast. We very, very much look forward to staying again. Lovely rooms, lovely bathroom, exceptionally clean. Tasty breakfast, a wonderful, friendly and very helpful host. We could not have asked for more! My brother and I spent a night here recently and were more than satisfied! This bed and breakfast is located at the heart of the old town of Flavigny in a beautiful house. The two guest rooms as well as the bathroom are upstairs on the first floor. The bathroom looks really pristine and modern with a fancy bathtub and shower. In the morning, Sophie invited us downstairs to have breakfast on her terrace in the back of the house. Sophie was very generous, she served us so many tasty things, it was way more than we could eat (and I do eat quite a bit!). Sophie is a really nice, flexible, and easy-going host. She also gave us good recommendations. I would definitely recommend the Maison Gallimard to couples but also to parties of three or four, since there are two...

We spent two very comfortable nights at the amazing Maison Galimard. |The bed was supremely comfortable and every piece of furniture was chosen with attention to detail. Everything was very clean and charming. |The bathroom was fabulous and all the wooden floors stunning. |Breakfast was very generous and set us up nicely for the day. |Sky the dog was a star and utterly gorgeous, and if we could, we would have taken him home with us! |Flavigny-sur-Ozerain is a beautiful village with its connections to the aniseed sweet making industry.
