I really wanted to get my issue fixed, unfortunately this is the only thing the camping manager left me to do: a very bad review. Briefly, it was late night, we travelled from Italy the whole day and spent the afternoon looking for a parking to spend just one night without luck. Eventually on google maps I've found the Camping du canal, I opened their booking page their website and, surprisingly, it accepted my booking, I was so happy I've found a place to sleep! The payment was weird, they only wanted a bank transfer, but my bank is allowing instant transfers, sorted! Well, no. The camping manager called me 5 minutes later, stating there was no room for us. Why your system accepted my booking then? I've asked about a refund, they agreed.. bear with me, "they agreed". Note that their booking system is there just to take the booking: there's no checking there's actually space, or that they will welcome you. Nothing, you will pay, without any assurance it is actually booked. Well, I've sent at least 5 more emails over the next 2 weeks, no one answered. Then I sent a message here on maps, they answered stating they were not ignoring me (2 weeks, no answers, how do you call that?), that it's was my blame I didn't read their rules. I was in distress, in a rush to find a place to sleep for me and my sister, and quite desperate. They said that, exceptionally, they would refund me. Guess what? 2 more weeks, nothing. We were in a desperate situation, they didn't want to wait for us, they just took our money and then ignored my messages and emails. That's it, today I decided to stop waiting and write my experience. I've checked the website, I didn't find anything about those alleged "rules", regardless of that there's something called "respect", which everyone deserve. Don't promise a refund (twice!) if you're not willing to do it, don't leave someone waiting for an answer for weeks, take into account that maybe your website isn't the best booking system on this planet and you are liable for that, so don't just blame the customer. Right, job done, I'm sure this time they will answer, it's now their turn...

The best camping we’ve visited so far!!! Great welcoming atmosphere created from lovely couple who truly putting entire hearts into this place. Manager is very chatty and very helpful in anything you will need during your stay. Lady is a chef in the kitchen but also keeps all service running smoothly without any delays. She makes food with a lovely smiles and huge passion to each customer. The most amazing regional dish is flam pie witch is heaven to your mouth . Also burger or fish and chips etc all in affordable prices. (Obviously pint of beer or glass of wine is must also 😉 ) it’s great place to visit with kids (as we did) they having football/basketball pitch, trampoline, sand pits with slide to get children entertained during your visit. Also bar is full of snacks and sweets also ice creams for kiddos (and not only😉) But the most important is swimming pool with sunbeds and parasols. Our kids love it so we do❤️Place is very clean and well maintained.Rooms , beds, kitchens and bathrooms are spotless. this place has great quiet location around 20 minutes to Basel in Switzerland to explore Alps and around 10 minutes to EuroAirport Basel Mulhouse with great connections around Europe. Camping du Canal is is MUST if you around even to pop in for pint of beer or Flamm pie😉highly recommended by us! We will be back for sure 👌 THANK YOU GUYS and See You...

A new camping, it opened begin July and it looks very new. The owner is very nice to have a chat with and isn't an angry person at all. The camping has spots for rv's and for tents, it is rather small but includes a pool and a house to wash clothes or go to the bathroom (or shower). They also have a small restaurant for a quick bite and for cold beverages and a swimming pool which is about 1.6 metres deep at the deepest point and looks like a beach and has toys to play with. When you walk away from the camping there is a canal where you can pick fresh berries from blackberry bushes and enjoy a quiet time. Note: a electricity line goes over the camping which can be harmfull to some people. Also because you are close to the canal stuff can get wet very quickly if you leave things outside overnight. Make sure to bring your own toilet paper!!
