This is a wonderful B&B located down a country lane off the beaten track but within walking distance of the Pont du Gard. The owner, Carinne, is utterly charming and helpful and couldn't do enough for me. She is enthusiastic about her region and her B&B... the perfect hostess. The room was large and comfortable and beautifully furnished, the rest of the house also. The bathroom was also large with a great walk in shower. The room had a kettle on a hospitality tray, a small fridge and a flat screen TV. The beautiful grounds are huge and the pool is fenced for the safety of children. There is a small river at the bottom of the garden and a cherry orchard with over 20 cherry trees. Cherries appeared on the breakfast table each morning this past May (along with a lot of other delicious goodies). The rooms are all on the ground floor so no stairs to negotiate if you have a heavy suitcase. Each room has French windows opening onto its individual outdoor terrace which looks onto the lawn and the pool. The property is secluded and gated. Read moreIt would not be fair to others looking for the best stay in the region . As the accommodation is all on the ground floor it really suited us as we were travelling with my disabled sister .Carinne is a lovely and attentive host who simply made our stay perfect . The rooms are decorated to a high standard very comfortable and with oodles of hot water in the bathroom . We did make use of the wonderfully heated pool (29 deg) and took the short walk through the rear of the property to the isolated beaches bordering the river Gard ...just great! . Got to mention the breakfasts .. breakfast is served on a large table facing the well maintained gardens and consists of fresh croissants , bread and a tempting selection of home made jam.local cheeses are also on offer along with yogurt ,fresh fruit and of course tea and coffee. As all the guests eat together and conversation thrives breakfasts can be lengthy affairs ... French holidays at their best !||Well done Carinne you should be very proud of 'Au Temps des Cerises'||Mike,Sylvie &...
Read moreAu Temps de Cerises is a private accommodation maintained to the highest standards. Kay and Ian look after their guests and provide probably one of the best breakfasts you will probably ever encounter; served outside on their patio with the freshest fuits, with breads and croissants fresh from the local bakery every morning. They also appear to have an endless list of local restaurant recommendations, non of which failed to deliver. The rooms are well appointed and a swimming pool is available for guests use, along with easy acces to a pebble 'beach' on the River Gard. Close by, for the more enthusiastic, are kayaking and horse riding, with the market town of Uzes and of course the Pont du Gard within easy reach. Avignon and Nimes are a mere 40...
