We truly looked forward to staying on an actual winery, albeit for just one night. Unfortunately, we could not make it there before the check in closed. And that is where our troubles started. We never got instructions for after hours check-in (although we were later told that they were emailed to us as they closed the front desk for the day). We had to dial 3 different numbers before we got a hold of some person. They sent another person to even open the from for us. However, the young man turned around an left, so we were left to figure everything out on our own. When we could not find how to turn on AC, we tried to message or call someone again, but to no avail at all this time! So, we had to suffer with just floor fan for the whole apartment in a very hot night. The apartment itself was nice, but scarcely supplied. I think, that, if we arrived earlier and had someone available to help us figure out, the experience may have been significantly better. The château is in a great location and our room was beautifully decorated.|| On the first evening we dined at the Château itself and had a three course meal for €30 and unlimited wine. The food was excellent but we genuinely felt that the meal was a little rushed and we had three courses within an hour.||The lady owner was going to a family christening the following day and regrettably after she left, things like the breakfast in the morning were not of the same standard.|| Our breakfast on the last morning was a bit of a disaster as the lady she left in charge forgot to put out most of the breakfast items such as the milk, butter and orange juice.||The pool area was lovely and we decided to have a nice quiet day around the pool however there were no cushions for the sun loungers and it became a bit uncomfortable later in the day.|| Overall we did thoroughly enjoy our stay at this wonderful château however there are a few basic things which should be attended to for the prices that they are charging and want to become known as a five-star...

We were a late arrival and had missed the highly recommended dinner, but Brigitte kindly offered to make us an omelette or a salad and pâté platter which was just the job, scrumptious, served with crusty French bread and a selection of excellent wines .... what a wonderful welcome!!!||Super-friendly hosts and in our case the other guests - a lovely eve all together !|We, including pooch Blue, were upgraded to a larger room, as it was available free of charge ! The accommodation; that famous eclectic French mix of old and new, très chic !|We had a most comfy nights sleep after a long long day driving. In the morning we indulged in an early breakfast and stocked up in the vineyard shop ... as many of the reasonable bottles of wine as we could squeeze in between all the densely packed luggage in the car ! Perfect.... really could not ask for|any better ...... we will be back ! Thank you...
