We stayed in this Bed & Breakfast for 2 nights which provided comfort, good service, and a nice breakfast. The outdoor space is the highlight – plenty on tables and chairs/loungers, a small pool, and beautiful landscaping. It’s set back from the road so you don’t get road noise; just crickets and birds. There are small towns nearby to enjoy dinner and the markets. It has beautiful views of vineyards and Mount Ventoux. The rooms have particularly soft beds and are decorated in bright modern style (think IKEA). Towels are hung to dry which leaves them smelling a bit musty, and the bathroom smelled very musty within a few hours if the bathroom door was kept closed after a shower as there is no ventilation. That really bothered our allergies which makes me wonder if there was a bit of mold. There were no guests on either side of us, so it was very quiet. That said, the walls seemed very thin when I tapped on them, so I think it could be fairly noisy with other guests next door. The hostess, Patricia, was very kind and welcoming. She offered to cook dinner for us for 25 Euros per person which we took her up on. I would recommend NOT doing that. The food was minimal, tasteless, and overcooked. Plus, three of the four people who ate that night got very sick afterwards so we suspect it was food poisoning. For the 50 Euros we spent, we could have eaten very well at a...

Read moreThis was our first time in this region, although we have traveled to Paris and other parts of France multiple times. Our friends arranged our stay at La Fontaine, and we were surprised by the charm, character, ambiance, friendliness and care and concern for our stay. Patricia is a superb hostess and constantly looked for ways to make us more comfortable. While the rooms are fairly basic, they are clean and comfortable, but who wants to stay in your room when you have priceless view outside? La Fontaine has placed chairs and tables throughout the area of the main home and pool, each offering privacy or company as you care. Enjoy your morning coffee or tea, and as the day breaks enjoy a priceless treat as the small valley and vineyards come alive. Soak up the sun poolside in a comfortable chaise lounge. Or take a few moments and appreciate the many carefully tended flowers, trees and shrubs. Ask Patricia a question or seek a bit of advice, and receive a helpful and thoughtful reply. Enjoy the superb breakfast or snacks. Or take a stroll through the surrounding vineyards and small village. It makes no matter, for La Fontaine au Loup is an excellent place, one in which we will return and enjoy again. Well done...
