Situated in the heart of farmland (surrounded by farm fields) close to the town of Mirepoix, this B&B is hosted by two friendly and outgoing ladies who can accommodate guests from all over. The B&B has a pool, several fair sized rooms and a common sitting area/breakfast room. There is no want for anything as they stock the communal fridge and cupboard with drinks (log and pay for at the end) and the breakfast is sufficient for the morning.||||Conveniently, the B&B is short to moderate driving distance from many of the Cathar castles in the region. Mind you, it's a little far if you want to see Château de Peyrepertuse. That's close to 2 1/2 hours. But Carcassonne is close by and a pleasant drive.||||The real charm of this B&B are the ladies. Greet and Fien (sorry ladies if I misspelled your names) are excellent hostesses. They are personable and have a good sense of their clients. They also know the local town well, and can recommend dinner there.||||They do put on a dinner for the guests if there are enough takers. The cooking is excellent, with a good choice of wine to complement. We had a lovely duck dish. ||||We...
Read moreWe were making our way down towards Céret and we made a last minute decision to stop for a couple of days. We wanted a quiet place where we could go fro walks and slow down. This place is very near Mirepoix. We were greeted by a welcoming and smiliing Dagmaar, who was thoughtful and settled us quickly and comfortably. This was our last stop, and still we extended our stay one more day. Dagmaar is lovely, a perfect hostess, warm, helpful, funny and a great sense of humour. We had two rooms and both were a great size, en suite bathroom, a really comfortable beds, tastefully decorated, with a view of the countryside. Breakfast was incredible, spoilt for choice, her dog Kiva was on hand to help if you couldn't finish. The pool was inviting and refreshing and one night we didn't want to go anywhere so Dagmaar produce an amazing dinner. We will...
