Simply a fantastic place to stay!
This was definitely one of the best small hotel stays we have had and certainly the best for many years. From the moment Julie greets you to the moment you leave, she does everything possible to make sure your stay is perfect... and succeeds! We speak French but she did everything for us in English to make it easier for us, including a personalised note on the breakfast table. The room was immaculately clean, fully equipped (including tea and coffee - still not common in France) and with a quirky but lovely decor. The shower room / toilet was also exceptionally clean and very well maintained with bio products and no silly plastic sachets or bottles. There are fridges on site with complementary fresh milk and cold drinks to buy at sensible prices. The bed was very comfortable and we had a great night's sleep. The pool area was as clean and well maintained as the rest of the property and there is a small football pitch and table tennis.
We opted for the regional sharing platter as an evening meal and could only just finish it - amazing local products well prepared with a great wine from a friend's vineyard in Saumur - all at very reasonable prices. Breakfast was the usual French version but plenty of it and at that point we wished we'd booked another night! All I can say is - go there - you cannot possibly be...

The location, the amenities and the hospitality of the hosts exceeded all our expectations. Breakfast was one of our favorite moments as everything is carefully set for you and your family as well as a personalized message welcomes you at the table :). We had the chance to have dinner twice at La Roseraie and we were once again impressed by the service and the quality of the products served, which are prepared with fruits and vegetables coming straight from the garden of La Roseraie.
We hope to go back again one day, we have great memories.
Thank you La Roseraie for such...
Merci Julie !
Travelling from Bristol, UK, we were doing a road trip from Rouen to La Rochelle. As part of our plan, we were planning to spend one day at the Futuroscope, a theme park, near Poitiers. We found this guest house on Booking: its location was ideal (only a 15mn drive from the park). That was a real surprise for us. This place is absolutely magnificent. We wish we stayed more than just a night. I don’t know where to start as there are so many positive things to say: a very warm welcome from Julie, our hostess. The great atmosphere of this little « castle » surrounded by Roses, immaculate bedrooms and bathrooms, the quietness of this place, an excellent breakfast with a little touch: a personalised note from Julie explaining where everything was, the vegetable garden, the heated swimming pool (just a shame we didn’t have time for it), games for the kids (football, basketball, table tennis), etc. In a nutshell, that was exceptional. It clearly exceeded our expectations....
