Gites Locmaria, Langoelan — Hotel in Pontivy

I cannot rave enough about this place. It's not simply the tranquil and beautiful property, the heated pool, the plum and apple trees, or the endless fields to wander. Nor is it the cozy property complete with all amenities (including a wonderful wood burning stove). It's also the charming company of our wonderful hosts Nadine and David, and their three lovely dogs (Ef, Islay and Maya).

We were looking for a quiet place to spend a few weeks in August and am beyond thrilled to have stumbled onto Locmaria. It's simply perfect. Whether you want to laze away the day under a tree with a good book, enjoy a swim in the heated pool, wander around the property discovering all the beautiful wild flowers, or take a drive to one of the many neighboring attractions, this is the perfect place.

Nadine and David were wonderful hosts who made sure we had privacy but were close by for anything that we needed, including a "bun run" - where they provided delicious croissants in the morning for us late risers from the a phenomenal bakery. We enjoyed them with some of Nadine's home made jam.

Our little dog Pixel enjoyed rolling in the grass and playing with the other dogs who were all friendly and charming.

We are already planning our return next year. A little slice of heaven, thank you David and Nadine for such a memorable and relaxing summer. (And please take good care of our special tree until we can enjoy it...

Mes grands-parents ont passé cinq jours merveilleux dans le petit gîte attenant à la maison de Nadine (elle parle très bien français, d'ailleurs). Ils m'ont dit qu'en vingt ans ils n'avaient jamais vu un tel accueil : en plus de tout le nécessaire et de la propreté, ils ont eu la bouteille de cidre, du pain, du beurre, du café, du thé... à l'arrivée, des croissants certains matins, bref, ils étaient tout à fait charmés. Le lieu est en plus de cela très beau : fleuri et bucolique. Merci Nadine ! Continue comme ça ! / My grandparents stayed for 5 days at Nadine's place and it was perfect : they told me they hadn't seen anything like it in 20 years. Nadine had some local food ready for them. She keeps the right distance even if her house is just beside (asking if everything is ok when she sees you, chatting a little... But not TOO much !) and is a good advisor for things to visit nearby. This is a rare and beautiful place to stay. Such a great ambiance. Good local suggestions for activities. The pool is always clean and often we wake up with fresh pastries waiting at the door. Nadine and David are the most welcoming people. We can’t wait...
