Enjoyed our stay. In September can drive all the way to the dam and park near the room. Am told in high season must leave car at bottom of mountain and take a shuttle up. Comfortable beds. Hot shower in room. Close to trail head, for access to spectacular 3.5 hour hike one way to summit. Summit Trail Requires fairly high level of fitness. Poles recommended. Other trails around lakes are beautiful. Restaurant had surprisingly good dinners. There is a modest breakfast bar (coffee, tea, rolls, bread, juice, fruit) and dinner meal plan. The dinners were extraordinary good three course appetizer, entree plate, desert and wine. Dinners were superior to meals at restaurants in city. Cafe available for midday food and drink. Wifi in rooms was intermittent at times, perhaps slow at high use hours such as evenings. |Would not hesitate to recommend this place for fit travelers who...
