My girlfriend and I, with her little daugther had really a lovely one night stay in this extrememy nice large and wonderfully refurbished Catalan house, made even nicer by the charming, kind and interesting hosts, Rosaline and Gilbert. First the location is perfect, in the centre of the small pleasent village of Vinca.Close to natural and historicalcultural amenities {Massif du Canigou; Orges of Ille sur Tete, Villefranche du Conflent, only to mention what we were after in our short 2days trip from Toulouse]. For children, and to chill out in the hot weather; there is nearby a nice swimming lake with even a small lido beach only 5 minutes by walk. That place; like all the beauties of the area, really had a soul, and we would love to go back. Excellent...

This was a chance find and it could not have been better....we stumbled across a real gem! The room was stunning and had a very homely feel. Our charming hosts sat with us over breakfast which tested my French to the limit but we laughed at mistakes and chatted amiably! The best of breakfasts was taken....peach juice, raspberry tarts, peach, strawberry and fig jams (all homemade and from their own garden!), homemade breads, croissant and lovely coffee, all taken on the elevated terrace with wonderful flowers all around and views of the town and mountains beyond. This is a place that needs revisiting,...

Our hosts were very hospitable giving me opportunity to improve my French, my wife to top up hers and my 4 year old to practice his first French words. There is a lake close by with a beach which is sheltered from any wind and has plenty of shade if needed. Eating breakfast from a raised terrace with the town and mountains in the background was impressive and we saw a beautiful sunset from our apartment on the...
