I absolutely loved this gem in the countryside. We arrived via train to St Quentin en Yvelines train station and took a 20min taxi for a cheap price. The location was stunning, in a perfect setting in France. I feel like movies are made in these areas! And the host welcomed us warmly. Our room was very beautiful and well decorated. It was a breath of fresh air to come to a room I could open a window and feel the clean breeze!! A definite opposite to the Paris environment.||||We ordered dinner which was excellent and we enjoyed the cuisine very much! Breakfast was equally delicious! And a beautiful dining setting with lit candles and music (a very honeymoon-ish feel). I wish I had found this place before for my honeymoon!!||||We had missed seeing Versailles the day we arrived due to train strikes in France, but our host helped us book tickets for the next day, provided us with bus tickets, and even drove us to the correct stop and helped us locate it. I haven't seen such hospitality in any bed and breakfast I have been too. I will definitely be recommending this location to my friends and family into the future!||||For anyone looking to visit Paris or just outside Paris, look into staying here for several nights! I wish we had...

Read moreWe had the gite that slept 8 people, but we used it for 6.||Location - You need a satnav to find it, but easy when you've done it once. We used it as a base for visiting Paris and it was good for that.||Cost - Expensive! Over Euro300 for two nights (2 adults and 4 children) self catering.||Parking - Right outside, which was very handy.||Garden - Enclosed and had a table for outdoor eating.||Kitchen - No plug for the kitchen sink! No washing machine! No shelves for the oven! No towels for drying dishes! Apart from that, it was well stocked in terms of utensils, etc.||Dinner room/ lounge - Great big table. Plenty of plates, dishes, glasses, cutlery, etc. Warm underfloor heating as well.||Beds - Comfy and clean.||Room cleanliness - all the rooms were clean and tidy.||Bathrooms - No plug in the bath! Towels were adequate. Shower was okay, but temperature control was unpredictable. ||Wifi - Yes it was free, but it only worked upstairs and the download speed was so slow.||Service - they were very kind and helped out when we needed to make up an additional bed. Which was much appreciated.||Would we use it again - There are so many...
