Blue Lagoon Villa — Hotel in Rangiroa

We visited Blue Lagoon Villa for a dive trip to Rangiroa in French Polynesia. The location of the villa was great—it was nearby to everything we wanted to do, including the dive shop, town, and a Pearl Farm (pearl farms are on the outer islands because it’s healthier for the oysters). Our hosts helped us coordinate a car, which was helpful given our lack of knowledge in the area. The villa itself was wonderful—very spacious, with three bedrooms, living room, full kitchen, and covered porch overlooking the gorgeous pool and lagoon (which we enjoyed every evening). It was also incredibly private—it was so nice after a day of exploring to come back, enjoy the peace and relax in the pool, or to go kayaking, or to watch the wildlife in the lagoon from the dock or reclining chairs. Additionally, we never had to plan dinner as Jonathan and Kateryna had a menu of incredible gourmet dishes to choose from which we enjoyed each night. Truly, our visit to Blue Lagoon Villa was a joy, and we can’t wait to return. We used to stay at a big hotel in Rangiroa, but really prefer the villa, more advantages. It has a real pool on the beach (not just a small one with no view) and the villa opens up to a stunning lagoon! The villa is large, spacious, modern, super clean, and very comfortable.

We loved: - beautiful pool in front of the sea - the entire place opening up to the sea - Air conditioning in the living room, dining room, and kitchen (hard to find in Polynesia) - few small restaurants less than 5 minutes away by car and a supermarket just 3 minutes away on foot - Louis picking us up on the beach for excursions to the Blue Lagoon! - kayak trips were amazing - super comfortable beds - a private garden with no neighbors, the river, and the beach

We can't wait to come back next year for two weeks this time! Thanks to Jonathan and Kateryna for all their help...

So far the best place we stayed in French Polynesia.
