Champagne Trichet — Hotel in Reims

We stayed two nights at the B&B and went on the full tour and loved it. The rooms are very spacious, modern and have character. The breakfast would be considered high end continental for American standards. We really liked the breakfast and the presentation. The champagne is excellent and very refreshing. We purchased a bottle of the L'Exception and it was outstanding. The tour and the B&B is run by the owner. He is extremely nice and very passionate and proud of his vineyard and wine making. Madame et monsieur Trichet sont très sympathiques et soucieux de notre bien être. Nous avons été reçus avec le sourire et bienveillance. La chambre thème cuir est plutôt une suite, au regard de la qualité du mobilier, d'une belle salle de bain, d'un WC séparé et d'une petite entrée. Bref, un réel confort. Nous avons pu bénéficier d'une dégustation présentée par monsieur Trichet, un homme passionné par son métier. L'historique de la maison Trichet nous a été relaté ainsi que quelques notions sur la nature des sols et leur impact sur les cépages. Nous avons admiré la transmission du savoir-faire sur plusieurs générations. Concernant le petit-déjeuner, il est plus que généreux avec plusieurs produits locaux, notamment le miel et le jus d'abricot. C'est donc une adresse à recommander pour y séjourner mais aussi évidemment, pour acquérir quelques bonnes bouteilles des différents champagnes...
