I stopped here in October 2022. This is a beautiful quiet countryside campsite in a valley by the side of the river. There is a small on site cafe restaurant that seems very popular with locals and has outdoor seating. The shower block is quite small, though it's new and very clean, in fact it was one of the few shower cubicles I encountered in 5 weeks that had a good enough dry area that my clothes didn't get showered too. The pitches are very large, flat and private surrounded by a hedge. Note that some pitches, but not all, are accessed by a steep access road so check your pitch will be accessible in your type of vehicle. To give an idea of the kindness of the owners, Claude was especially helpful to me when my van ran out of fuel as a national fuel strike left almost all petrol stations empty. He drove me to two local villages before we eventually found fuel and even then we had to queue over an hour before we could fill the canister up. I remain eternally grateful for his help and his good English that rescued the situation. Would I stay here again? Definitely.

Very rural sites the banks of a beautiful river. One shower (good with lots of hot water) and one clean toilet, but not too many pitches or people so not a problem. There is a small shop area that sells soft drinks, beers and ice-creams. The camping pitches are separated by hedges and some have electricity and water. The owners of the site are very friendly and they are putting a lot of work into the site and I would expect to see some good changes next summer. We went to sleep with the sound of owls and woke to the sound of a woodpecker and there's almost no light pollution so too many stars to count on a clear night. A good place for a one night stopover and a perfect place for a longer stay.

This is a lovely site is still a work in progress but yet already has more amenities than other sites that are fully completed. Good new toilet block with toilet roll, water and hand soap even a bin and sanitary bags. New showers that last a long time when pushed and hanging space. Dishwashing double sinks with draining boards. Large private hedged pitches. Kids trampoline, football table, cafe with drinks and food. Pool area decking being upgraded and new sun beds. Access to the river and canoe hire next to the site.
