A fantastic find this hotel. From arrival to departure the owners make you feel so welcome. Their warmth and hospitality really shone through.||We choose a room with a 4 poster bed. The room was very spacious and decorated in keeping with the look and feel you would expect from such a fantastic building. The bathroom too was spacious with a large bath.||We took the opportunity to take a dip in the pool which was warm and clean. Most refreshing after being on the road for 7 hours! A walk around the gardens also reveals a large pond that holds trout and some wonderful wooded areas full of birds and butterflies.||We chose to eat at the hotel and what a delight it was. The food was delicious produce from the area and plentyful. The choice of wines was excellent and very reasonably priced. During the meal we had the opportunity to talk in more detail with the owners about the hotel and it's history.|The bed was comfortable, we slept well and also enjoyed an excellent breakfast prepared by our hosts again using a lot of local produce. ||When passing through this area again we will definitely paying...

There are a number of Chateau de la motte in France. i am writing about the one in Noailly.||||The approach to the chateau has a Disney like feel about it with its cluster of narrow towers. Inside all is restrained elegance with carefully chosen furniture and drapes - the chateau's Swedish owner was a wholesaler in the import and export of very high quality materials. Mr Lantz and his pianist wife have complemented the elegance of the panelling, the plasterwork and the chandeliers with objets which are perfectly matched to the quietly refined ambaince of their surroundings.||||We were welcomed and shown to our room which was spacious and comfortable. Dinner was French in style with jambon persille, grilled zander, local cheeses and - a Swedish touch - an almond and egg tart named in honour of King Oscar. Breakfast was French with croissants and brioche but also with cheese and saucisson to accomodate Flemish guests.||We would highly recommend this chambre d'hote but make sure you have stopped at the right Chateau...

Delightfully owned and managed by our Swedish hosts Henrik & Lillian. The most welcome aspect , one of many , was the set meal on our arrival, home cooked and most enjoyable ( Duck in a vicar of Dibley Jus !). Superb room with amazing tranquil view over the huge lawn. The property set in its own many acres of woodland and lake would be an ideal getaway for any age couple looking for peace and quiet and NO CHILDREN , Yoga group were the only other guests who ere well behaved but created a bit of a hummmmm . Perfect hosts, attentive and homely. Great room ( V Hugo ) on first floor between the 2 towers. We would definitely stay again using this as our base to tour...
