La Vieille Boulangerie — Hotel in Saint-Brieuc

After a day from hell that resulted in us needing a place to stay at very short notice we were struggling to find somewhere that would have us late in the evening at moments notice.||We booked via booking.com expecting the basics for our €60 but got so much more.||Tony and his lovely partner (who's name I have forgotten which I feel terrible about) were ready waiting for us.||Polite, friendly and helpful.||We were shown our rooms and asked when we would like breakfast plus given a free drink (much needed) upon arrival.||The room is SPOTLESS and full of character.||Authentic exposed beams and a monsoon shower!||I am writing this from an extremely comfy bed pondering my good fortune on such a find.||We travel here regularly and will be returning again...

Kevin and Philip were excellent hosts during our (short notice!) two night stay. They were extremely friendly and accommodating, giving us information about the surrounding areas and even let us leave our bicycles in their shed overnight! Their home is a lovely old building, with all modern conveniences; the room was very comfortable and the shower was excellent! I would definitely recommend their two/three course meal, which was delicious both evenings, and the breakfast was great and very plentiful too. Overall, I can't recommend La Vieille Boulangerie enough, and would definitely stay...

We received a warm welcome, and had a relaxing stay. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The location was quiet and peaceful, and although we were only staying for a night, we enjoyed a stroll around the village and to the local lake. Breakfast was good and unhurried, and there was flexibility over when we would like to have it.||||As it is centrally located, it is well-situated for visiting lots of Brittany. The next time we are travelling in that direction we will not hesitate to book...
