Grange de la bastide — Hotel in Saint-Flour

This year was the second time we've come to Grange de la Bastide and we still want to go again there.||Anemieke and Joost are a very friendly and happy couple, they make us laugh a lot.||The best bit about this place is the view and the outside kitchen where we could prepare anything we wanted, even a BBQ (it has a fridge as well).||A tranquil and beautiful place to stay, we love it.||Breakfasts are rich, too.||Cantal and its mountains are gorgeous and breathtaking. More than 5 days stay required to cover its interesting and marvellous sights and Grange de la Bastide for us is the perfect place to spend our Cantal holiday.||Always a must, a 60min walk through the forest down to the nearby town of Murat with its pitoresque stone houses and narrow streets and local shops to buy the best...

Grange de la Bastide is an absolute gem. Warm hospitality, first rate accommodation and facilities, a wonderful location and stunning views with great walks close by. It doesn’t get any better than this. We had forgotten our rucksack and didn’t have walking poles. Joost and Annemieke lent us both and advised on walks which we really enjoyed. The breakfast is spectacular, the garden is lovely, and there is a very well equipped and attractive kitchen area with barbecue separate from the house. The nearby town of Murat is charming and the area has many lovely places to visit. You will not find a nicer or more welcoming...

Onlangs een heerlijke korte vakantie gehad met onze familie (drie volwassen stellen). Een fantastische plek om te vertoeven, een klein paradijsje, verscholen in de Cantal in het Centraal Massief.||Vanuit de tuin van dit hooggelegen Chambre d'Hôtes (1.100m.) heb je een prachtig uitzicht in de richting van het stadje Murat, dat rond de 3de eeuw na Chr. gesticht werd.||De kamers, alle met eigen ingang en sanitair, zijn ruim en alles is heerlijk schoon. Elke ochtend werden we voorzien van een gul en afwisselend ontbijt, waarbij de tafel steeds werd opgefleurd met wilde en kleurrijke takjes en bloemen.||Mooi uitgangspunt ook voor wandeltochten, waarvan Joost er meer dan 20 voorstelt (met veel andere sportieve en andere tips) in een map op elke kamer.||Tot ver in mei is het mogelijk om wandeltochten naar de sneeuw te maken.||De B&B beschikt over wifi en ook over een beschutte buitenkeuken met bbq, koelkast, magnetron enzovoorts.||Geweldig vertoeven hier, met in de zeer grote tuin gezellige zitjes.||Al met al: een aanrader !||||1 toevoeging:||dit is geen adres voor kinderen die een zwembad , speeltuin of veel speelkameraadjes...
