L'Ardiégeoise — Hotel in Saint-Gaudens

As we had not managed to book ahead we felt lucky to find a room at this delightful chambre d'hote (through the tourist office) which lived up to its TripAdvisor reviews.||Our hostess, Mme Cholet, was welcoming, cheerful and efficient and clearly concerned with making her guests comfortable, and our our room was cosy, pretty and spotless.||We enjoyed an evening picnic (items bought from Super U just 3 miles away) at the table and chairs provided in our own 'private' garden area. We were even able to make a hot drink at the cuisine d'ete.||Breakfast was beautifully presented and in the convivial company of other guests.||We enjoyed locally produced yogurt and cheese, bread with various jams, patisserie, and coffee replenished several times.||If we were in the area we would definitely make a beeline for this charming place in such a peaceful spot - but we'd be sure...

There is a reason why l’Ardiègeiose has only positive reviews: because it is an amazing place. It is located in a little village at the foot of the Pyrenées and very quiet. All apartments are well insulated so that you have your privacy. And the apartments are qell equipped: modern decor, very clean and super comfortable. Parking is possible in the private courtyard. There is also a little pool to refresh on hot days. And what makes this chambres d’hôtes special are its owners. They really care about you and want to make your stay memorable. The owners were very welcoming and friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The WiFi worked well. The pool was great. Dinner cooked by the owners was fantastic and well worth it for a reasonable price. We had 5 courses with wine for about 23 Euros per head with the meals beautifully presented and delicious. There is a communal kitchen shared with the 3 rooms. The breakfast provided was also very good.||||A relaxing quite stay with caring owners.
