Camping jardin La Vie en Vert en Ariège — Hotel in Saint-Girons

Gorgeous little site nestled in a valley. Perfect for exploring the Pyrenees and relaxing at the end of the day. There is a river at the bottom of the site for paddling.. lovely for kids. We went to a few of the lakes and valleys nearby upon the owners reccomendation which turned out to be breathtaking.||||It was silent at night with just the rush of water and sounds of wildlife. ||||Simple campsite with clean facilities in the most wonderful setting. Our toddler loved it. We were the only English family which is fantastic to immerse yourself in the Pyrenees way of life, forcing you to practice your French! We will return to this site...

The campsite isn't veryru big, which is what makes it so special. The facilities are basic, but immaculate, the owners speak little English and unfortunately we speak little French, but we were able to communicate about a shared hobby in common. Absolutely beautiful & peaceful campsite in the mountains with exceptionally clean and tidy facilities. Joe and I were extremely grateful for Claudine to not only share her beautiful garden, but share it a day before opening!
