Les Chatougoulis — Hotel in Saint-Girons

What to say about les Chatougoulis? our 3-night stay was magical: We loved the area, surrounded by beautiful mountains taken right out of a movie. We loved the village, quaint little hamlet with charming houses. We loved the place with its comfortable common areas and lovely garden, small swimming pool, unusual pétanque strip and vegetable garden producing delicious foods for dinner (more on that later). We loved the comfort of the room, with its spacious shower and bathtub, living-room area and comfortable bed and bedding. We absolutely loved the food cooked from delicious ingredients grown in-house or bought at the farmers market. Amongst our favourites were an assortment of local cheeses ranging from very fresh to very mature, delicious cold cuts, barbecued pork ribs (so good that the cat licked the grill clean when it cooled down), lamb sausages, and a divine pear-chocolate tart. With that, some tasty (and reasonably-priced) wine made us very content after a day hiking. Finally, and most importantly, we loved our hosts, Laure and Florent, who were not only helpful in suggesting things to do in the area, and making sure that our stay was going well but were also kind and generous with their time, as we enjoyed the meaningful conversations with them throughout our stay. Beautiful room, amazing food and such pretty hikes and scenery all around!! Nicest hosts you can ask for. We had the best time and hopefully be going back soon! (If you are a cat lover, be prepared for insanely cute cats asking for belly rubs...

Pasamos dos noches y la experiencia fue muy buena. La casa es muy bonita, rústica y acogedora. La cama cómoda. Y las cenas que nos prepararon muy buenas. Con desayuno incluido tipo buffet, aunque también ofrecen huevos fritos y beicon. Lastima que hizo mal tiempo y no pudimos disfrutar de la piscina y tumbonas. Florent habla español e inglés. Ojo si vais con un coche grande o furgo porque el puente para acceder al pueblecito es...
