Kocoon résidence Alpine — Hotel in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne

I just came back after a 2 weeks stay with the family (2 adults and 2 children - flat 4/5 pp). I found a perfect flat for a family holiday, living with kitchen, 2 bedroom, toilet and bathroom. The flat is really well equipped with all stuff necessaries and more. Modern and functional, ours has a balcony with view on mountain and swimming pool. Two modern elevators are available as well as a common laundry with washing machines and dryers, all modern and big appliances. At the top level, a SPA with beautiful sight on surrounding mountains, included in the price of flat. Talking about the staff, we loved them all, we felt very welcome from the first step inside when Mrs Francoise Made us the check in, and also with the other colleagues, unfortunately I haven’t asked the name, we Made with them nice talking too. So considering people of Kocoon and of the Karellis station, the activities (most included in the price) the place itself, me and my family we consider very satisfied for the price we paid, I mean a very good price with high quality offer generally for accomodation and activities. Fantastic value for money. Lovely friendly helpful staff who went above and beyond to solve some non-Kocoon related issues we had. So many activities for the kids and mostly free or really cheap (busy a fiber for a pony trek).Beautiful scenery and a great atmosphere, just enough people for that holiday feeling but not so much it felt crowded. Staff leaves everyone to their own devices and doesn't harp on at them and all the clientele on the same page and their best behaviour, so a very harmonious family-friendly experience. If I had to nitpick I would say the kitchens could be more complete (just a paring knife and a bread knife to prepare your food with) and the 2 bed apartments are advertised for 4-6 people but we were four and it was tight, there's no space to open the sofa bed for another two without doing some serious Tetris, and that activities and kids clubs and how to do things and where everything is should be made clearer as especially on short stays you could miss a lot of...

Imagine mountains... (the tops of them - magnificent views) and a swimming pool... and restaurants... and shops. And being right in the middle of many hiking trails ("randonnees"). So basically all you need to park your car and never touch it again until you leave. Combine this with the excellent and friendly help from the Kocoon staff members and management... that's what you call an excellent experience. (Oh, and just to top it up: there is a spa with...
