This quaint farmhouse was the perfect destination for a romantic getaway - or a family countryside trip. Upon arriving, the host explained in detail everything about our room, which had wonderful countryside views, was well decorated with a very functional kitchen inside. The place was nicely heated and tranquilly located for a relaxing, good night sleep in a very comfortable bed. The host was very helpful and gave us some great advice about the local attractions, the best routes by car or bike and provided us with a brochere with further details. The farm offered free bike hire, so the next day we cycled to the Mont Saint Michel, which is around an hour away by bike - thankfully the terrain is flat the whole way. This attraction is absolutely stunning with a deeply rich history and a worthwhile a visit to the abbey on top...
Read moreMy decision to book this hotel was based on excellent reviews and ratings of the past travelers. I had pretty high expectations and was not disappointed! In short: off the beaten path ( which is what I prefer), convenient to every point of interest, like Mont Saint Michel, Saint-Malo, Dinan, Cancale, very very comfortable, WiFi, TV, kitchen, beautiful garden and a cute well behaved dog, who will give you a million bisous (kisses) if you let him. Yann, the owner of the hotel, is a hospitality superstar! Very accomodating. Ask - and you shall receive! He took his time to really explain everything there was to know about the area, so that I was able to see the Brittany's beauty like a local. The only regret - my stay at Ferme Saint Christophe...
Read moreThe place is located right after a small town and consists of 6/8 apartments, each with bathroom, bedroom and kitchen. There is a garden where the occupants can seat -- be aware that depending on the location of your apartment, you may be seen by anyone at the graden. Beyond the garden there are some paths across the farming fields. Free wifi is available in the rooms and a good selection of TV channels. The apartment is provided clean and must be returned clean, at least for the kitchen. The owner is nice, providing tips on different routes to get to the main sightseeing spots (also in the ferme's website) and welcoming with a small surprise. We didn't notice vehicles' noise from the outside, though it's located right next...
