Camping du Vieux Château Tharon Plage — Hotel in Saint-Nazaire

We had the pleasure of staying for 10 nights Camping Du Vieux Chatteau. We were received a lovely greeting and were shown to our pitch, which was both spacious and ideally located. ||||The toilet and shower facilities were clean and well kept, as were the wash room and laundry services. The swimming pool was a pleasant environment and well used without being over busy owing to the owners restricting the numbers. ||||The site is very well placed for trips to neighbouring towns like Pornic, Saint Nazaire and Saint-Brevin-les-Pins - all within an easy cycle ride along safe cycle paths. ||||The beach is about a 10 minute stroll from the site and is clean and safe. The village centre of Tharon Plage is a similar 10 to 15 minute stroll and is where you will find a selection of shops, bars and restaurants, together with a tourist information office that are helpful to say the least. ||||A wonderful site, in a lovely location staffed by great people. Came across this campsite, situated within 500 metres of the sea, whilst on holiday in France and looking for an overnight stay. Liked it so much we stayed for eight days. Well run site, very clean facilities and so good to see hairdryers available in the washroom area. Good value with the ACSI card at Euros 13 per night. ||Inside sinks for washing up and laundry and lots of hot water. We arrived towards the end of August but in summer months lots seemed to be going on during the high season. There was a niice restaurant for a meal/drink on site and an excellent covered swimming pool with sun loungers. It was just a really nice environment. Very best wishes to the couple who run the site.
