Finding La Caillerie in the countryside of Pornic was a real gem ! The place stands out by its lush, well maintained grounds and garden. The hosts Coralie and Bertrand are simply so enthusiastic about their place and what they are doing. They give an ear to all your questions and always have a helpful reply with a smile. Our room was beautifully floral with very good French Designer bedding by Yves Delorme, the en-suite was fresh, clean and spacious. We had homemade breakfast in the front living room with a huge inglenook fireplace overlooking the incredible garden Coralie tends with love. Fruits and flowers abund and rare birds make themselves seen there ! Each day, Coralie made something new for breakfast which was delicious. Home made jams, bread etc. .. The town of Pornic is a short drive away full of shops and restaurants. We can't wait to have another trip to teh region to book our next stop at...

This a beautiful location for exploring the Pays de la Loire (Loire-Atlantique). Lovely spacious cottage like apartments in a country garden. Well located for Nantes, St.Nazaire and Pornic you will have plenty to see in great countryside. The headlands out past Pornichet have lovely walks .... seek out the semaphore tower. Bertrand and Coralie could not be better hosts ... he of the best scrambled egg in France and she of the lovely bread and pastries. Our hosts helped us locate all points of interest from their well prepared stock of maps and guides. They both have excellent English putting our pigeon french to shame. Well done you ... Far and above the quality and service you might expect at a bed and breakfast. The hosts Coralie and Bertrand really took care of us, recommending things to do, places to eat and taking care of all the bookings for us, from restaurants, to spas to nature walks in this beautiful countryside. The quality of the accommodation was very good and we slept very well, breakfasts were served by the hosts and consisted of local bread and jams along with home made salty butter caramel. Delicious. Highly recommended, hosts speak English perfectly so nothing to worry about on the communication front. |I look forward to staying there again on my next trip...
